Terrifying @Yviestevie. I can't swim, although I did when I was younger, and the sea scares the living sh*t out of me. A bit of a fright sounds like a massive understatement. Glad all is well. A relief for everyone, including your other grandchild [and parents!] - it's mentally exhausting. I've lost all sense of the tiers - anywhere. Ours come into force on Monday, but whether any of the areas have changed is yet to be confirmed. I expect our situation will remain the same, from what I can grasp. Walk was fairly good @Obelixx - the rain and wind keeps some of the tw*ts indoors. We have quite a few weather warnings over the next few days, so that'll help with keeping the eejits at bay Shame you had such difficulty with your 'entrance'. I think many places are just struggling with everything.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

She's got a few scrapes and bruises and they had to make sure she hadn't swallowed any water. Mabel wasn't allowed in the sea and stayed on the beach with friends, as the waves were strong so Merri was with her mum and dad. She's a good swimmer and strong for her age (she's 5'6 tall even though she is only 12). It was just one of those freak accidents. It was a good job she didn't panic.
Sounds very frightening @Yviestevie and I hope she doesn't have abdabs when she realises how lucky she was and how well she did.
France is in lockdown again till the 1st of December - no leaving home for anything but essential shopping, work which can't be done from home and 1 hour a day of exercise. Back to carrying papers to say who we are and what we're up to. No unnecessary travel. That means we keep Possum for a while longer then but will have to go out tomorrow and buy her some winter shoes as all hers are in Belgium except for one disreputable pair of trainers she keeps here for walkies.
I hope all this doesn't put the mockers on @Busy-Lizzie's plans and her OH can still come home. I rather suspect it will mean @D0rdogne_Damsel has to close again. It's a mess but the hope is that doing this will stop the virus. We'll see.
Good luck to all Forkers under restrictions and/or with family they can't see because of them.

Yep, we're in lockdown again, pretty gutted. Financially all will be fine, but my heart and soul is in CdeG and I feel lost without that to get up for each day. Trying to be pragmatic, time to catch up with paperwork and future plans.....but still another blow.
Sorry you got wet yet again @Obelixx, it'll be good to follow the race from the comfort of our living rooms from now on.
@Yviestevie, gosh your life is a bit of a rollercoaster at the moment.
Red wine for me tonight, lots of....

Really feel for you @Obelixx , @Busy-Lizzie and @D0rdogne_Damsel ☹️😢. I’m expecting the same sort of thing to be coming our way before too long. Got lots of sewing projects lined up in anticipation. And my GH gets hooked up to electricity next week - so that means lights and a heater for me to play with. But even with that, its the wrong time of year for much activity.
Hello everyone. Lovely to read all your doings. Sorry about the lockdowns, but the experience in Victoria has shown that it’s worthwhile. It’ll be interesting to keep a watch on the progress in Victoria since the Premier opened night activities yesterday. There were lots of shots on TV last night of people partying and having a great time in Melbourne. Hmmm. I wonder how many of them will come down with the virus.
Just think @D0rdogne_Damsel, you'll have time to think about all sorts of stuff in peace and find solutions and ideas and no need to wait for bespoke software! No bovver for me as I have more than enough to get on with assuming I can get a few sewing supplies tomorrow before it all shuts down again. Not so easy for @Busy-Lizzie tho, or Possum. Hope @floralies is OK with it all.
@chicky - you can have fun just playing with lights and heat and maybe growing some winter salads and greens that wouldn't do well in the great outdoors. More embroidery?
