Glad you had a lovely time @chicky Cakes for you and @floralies It would have been my Mum's birthday on Monday too.
Glad your son is ok too. Always a worry. Robins are migratory, so maybe that's why you only see them at certain times. They come here for their holidays ... No wonder I go through so many sunflower hearts. Those coal tits are burying them everywhere, including the hole in the back steps, and the moss along the paths
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
It was the OH's b'day yesterday as well @chicky. She insisted on no cards but there were a few who ignored that request Quite a few gifts arrived (mostly bottles ) and loads of facetime with her mahoosive family. It's a 'big one' next year so, hopefully, we'll be well out of Tier 3 by then
Only the best are born on Trafalgar Day @Biglad ......you got lucky with your OH 🤣🤣. Discovered yesterday that 21st October is Apple Day too .....so celebrations all round 🍏🍎🍏
Thanks for the cake @Fairygirl, that is going down a treat with my coffee. We have just been out cleaning the tiles on our terrace, we dare not use the Karcher on them as they are old and the grouting isn't good so it's a tile cleaner and a stiff broom. I had surfinias in tubs on there over the summer and they tumbled more than i thought they would and so lots of mess to clear up.
Afternoon folks, It's a beautiful day here and after a miserable start (me, not the weather) things are on the up. I gave myself a stern talking to and went into the garden. Greenhouse has been tidied, some of the canna and agapanthus moved down the garden ready to hibernate and about half the pots emptied ready for bulb planting. I'm having a bit of break and then I might venture out and do a bit more.
I don't take much notice of birthdays these days. Never was one for a fuss, much prefer a quiet one. It's Secondborn's on the 4th November so I'll need to get my thinking cap on. Think she's going out for a meal and a catch up with Firstborn. I want to make it a bit special as it's the first one without her Hubby. Will have to call him and see if he is doing anything about getting a card/pressie from the boys, if he isn't then I can do it. Anyone heard from Hosta.
Hello everyone. Bad night so late start and then the weekly raid on the SM. Have to go to 2 now cos Possum and OH have fancy beer tastes and Leclerc doesn't always have them. Got some skate wings on special offer for tomorrow's dinner and bell pork for Sunday dinner. Also popped in to the fabric shop for the doings I need for a Twister quilt in machine patch. It's going to be a bigger boggle than the Convergence.
Happy birthday to all you Librans and Scorpios. Enjoy you cakes, cards, prezzies.
Better news for you @Floralies. Good. Hope you can settle down and relax a bit too @Yviestevie .
Gentle hugs to @Hostafan1 and hope it's not too sore.

More coffee is being taken ... I’ve a feeling it may not wake me up 🥱
