Morning all, plenty of rain down here but not much wind at the moment. The grass is beginning to green up again. I was hoping to have a video call with my GP yesterday but she wanted me to go in and see her after my enteritis, which I suppose was wise as have had Clostridium Difficile years ago and she wanted to make sure I don't get it again, so have sample pot just in case! Woke up to the news from America, first thing I said to other half was "it couldn't have happened to a nicer fellow".
I'm glad I've logged in here because it has reassured me that I might not be such a horrible human being after all. It seems that my initial reaction to the news from over the water is shared by at least a few other members.
Dull and grey here but looks like it might be dryer than forecast today. A run is on the cards
Morning all. We've got horizontal heavy rain here and it's very windy so I've cancelled my hair appointment this morning. I'm still a bit unsteady on my feet when I'm walking and didn't fancy being blown over!
We've been in tis house for over 13 years and things seem to be breaking down one after the other so you're not alone Hosta. It's jolly annoying though isn't it. Enjoy your day out @Dovefromabove and Fairygirl - sounds delightful. Hope the coffee morning goes well DD, my sister held hers earlier in the week and made £200. I joined in remotely and donated online.
Ironing and washing awaits so I'd better get on with it.
I think there is more wind inside this house at the moment rather than outside! Have just been making some more Ratatouille with Aubergines, Tomatoes, and last of the courgettes from the garden, whilst listening to some nostalgia from Dean Martin.

Lovely viburnum, @Pat E. I think I can smell it from Ireland...
Garden calls. See you later!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
