Seemingly heavy rain here but we are staying in an converted navy building and there is lots of marble (ish?) landscaping plus the cobbles of the marina so the rain is particularly noisy as it lands. Lazy morning this morning, much needed after 60 kms on a bike yesterday Beautiful riverside path down to the sea, through a bird/wildlife sanctuary mussels for lunch and then back again, I've never seen so many herons and the swans were enormous. Off to the maritime museum later. There is a Begonia museum/conservatory too, but the opening hours are very limited, Might just be able to squeeze it in on Wednesday.Â
Well done on the quiz @Dovefromabove, I do love a quiz.Â
Cats - they certainly know how to get what they want don't they!
Btw, had word back from work that my waitresses son has tested negative for Covid19 so she is able to come back to work - one less worry at least..Â
@Busy-Lizzie - all sounds rather hectic, but at least you are not on the last minute and have time to get things organised. I expect the house is beginning to feel a bit odd and empty now, especially with OH being in the UK. Definitely time to be looking ahead and planning things for the new one.Â
The least wet @Biglad - always a bonus thing. Have you got your snorkel? You could always do that bog snorkelling That's good re your waitress @D0rdogne_Damsel. One less worry, as you say.Â
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Squelchville here too @Biglad . Standard for the time of year, although I think it's been wetter here even than normal. We usually get some good frosty, dry days in among the wet wild stuff, especially in early October, and we've not had as many. I could always move somewhere much hotter and drier, but I'd hate itÂ

Anyone heard from @Hostafan1 or @punkdoc?Â
Today promises to be the least wet of the next week. I strongly suspect that I've mowed the lawns for the last time this year
Might be some more digging in the swamp though

Probably heading for months of mild and wet or bright and freezing. Warm (relatively) and dry days will have to wait until Mar/April.
