I would put you on my Critical Care outreach list @punkdoc but you are a bit too far away! I hear they may start a restricted visiting soon...but even better than that, you might be home by the time they sort that out. I do hope so.Ā Sorry to hear that care has been under par. We simply need more staff (who care). I have been resuming my work visiting post critical care patients on the ward - we have been taking āpoorly parcelsā (toiletries, a book etc):
Iām not sure about the ācheer upā message though?! Bit insensitive.Ā
Very quick pop in. Sorry to hear you are suffering @punkdoc terrible set of circumstances to endure.
@Busy-Lizzie , also sorry to read about the garden, everything gets away from you so fast in this climate, but I am sure it will be sorted as soon as you get there. Sorry C won't be with you.Ā
I managed to buy 30 chairs today, and get them on the trailer safely home.Ā Must sleep now, 6am start - it's Mother's Day here tomorrow and I have 8 takeaway afternoon teas booked, a lot of baking to do in the morning. Thankfully the kitchen is now scrubbed adfit for purpose.Ā
Also,I won a bouquet of flowers from a local florist because I shared their post on FB, lovely surprise and beautiful flowers.Ā
So goodnight all, stay warm - or cool, whatever you're preference.Ā
āCoffee. Garden. Coffee. Does a good morning need anything else?ā āBetsy CaƱas Garmon
It is my OH's aged mother's 90th birthday today. Has not turned out to be the birthday she wanted which was a holiday in Sorrento. Instead she is tucked up in Frimley Park Hospital with a nasty skin infection which isn't responding to IV antibiotics yet so she may be there for a few more days. Even when she gets out we still have to keep our distance and if we have to pick her up then we are all in isolation for a week. So no celebration for some weeks at least. It doesn't help that another couple of inmates of her retirement apartments have gone into hospital recently for non-Covid problems then died.Ā
Good morning to you all.Ā Spring weather here and like yours - cool for this time of year.Ā @punkdoc - hang in thereĀ I hope you have some reading matter and at least an Ipad or laptop to keep you busy.Ā Please let us know when you are out of surgery.Ā Squeezes to you!!Ā Ā
@D0rdogne_Damsel - you seem to be doing so well with your project.Ā Happy Mother's Day!!
More sanding and painting this morning (3rd coat) but I also need to get hoeing the weeds while the soil is nice and moist.Ā Ā
Morning all/afties Pat if you're thereĀ Lovely here @Hostafan1 - our turn for some proper June weather, sun and cool just now, and damp overnight.Ā Too cold for you though @ 11 degrees. Perfect day for me if it just stayed like thatĀ Lovely prize for youĀ @D0rdogne_Damsel. Just what you needed.Ā Hope today goes really well for you.Ā What are you painting @tuikowhai34? Apologies if you've said and I've missed it. I had to laugh at the very 'healthy' fox this morning, tucking into a punnet of strawberries that he'd obviously pinched from the nearby Co-op. They get deliveries at about half five in the morning [daughter will have been unloading one at work this morning] so he's sneaked in for a cheeky snatch and grab.Ā
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
