A slightly chaotic afternoon here. OH's 90 year old mother was told she could go home late this afternoon and called us to come and collect her. Lockdown makes all this more complicated as we all know too well and it requires coordination with the management of her apartment block to get her safely home as visitors aren't allowed access given the age of the residents. She wouldn't be released until the pharmacy got her prescription ready but that never happened so another night in hospital for her. On a more positive note at least they did a second scan and found that she does have a thrombosis and that is now getting treated.

I hope @punkdoc has a good outcome tomorrow, good to hear his mum is doing well.

Have been on the wrong end of FPH’s pharmacy system before @steephill .... very frustrating.  Hope she gets home without incident tomorrow.

And good luck to @punkdoc tomorrow - will be sending hugs and positive thoughts your way.

    Wisley was sooooo lovely today.

.......although some of my favourite borders round the glasshouse have a mahoosive problem with horsetail, that looks like it will take many seasons to overcome.  Apparently they are trialling electric shock treatment .....all very space age 😱😳

Good morning everyone. Another quiet, still morning. I’m taking it easier, since I pulled my back yesterday while lifting a very heavy pot. 😡. Very annoying that I’m not as strong as I used to be. Hubby came and gave me some help with the clean-up in my veg garden, so it’s starting to look a bit better.

Have a good day. Thinking of Punkdoc.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
thinking of dear @punkdoc today ... sending positive thoughts to his medical team and love to him and Moira.

This morning is dry and overcast ... we have plans for a trip up to the North Norfolk coast ... hopefully one of the National Trust coastal carparks will be fairly well socially distanced ... and hopefully the forecast drizzle won’t spoil a bit of a walk ... and we have a picnic ...cold sausages, hard boiled eggs and homemade rolls filled with cucumber and the pork and liver pâté I made yesterday 🧺
I’ve not been anywhere others than the farmshop carpark or W’rose car park since 5th March. I’m ridiculously excited 😜

Good morning all.  @Dovefromabove hope you have an enjoyable outing.  Pretty protein packed lunch - you'll be galloping home!!

@punkdoc  's big day today.  Will be watching this space for results.
@Pat E   My back is painful at the moment from painting the garage doors.  Standing in one position on a concrete floor for hours is not good for backs and hips.

    Have a good day everyone.

😆 we have apples and bananas too ... but if I have too much carb midday I’ll fall asleep ... and as OH doesn’t drive that could be a problem 🤔

Tuikow, (I need to find a way to shorten your name 😂) isn’t it always the way that just when you think your body is acting well that something gives?  I’ve just been out and lifted a few perennial spinach plants which were looking rather sad and I’m hoping that they’ll spring back to vigour with new soil and a bit of TLC.

Thinking of punkdoc, hoping ll will be well.  Agree about the Doctors coming on the wards at night, seeming to forget it is actually the middle of the night. We would be in the staff room having our break, they would come in the kitchen end, put the flaming lights on, make tea, if the staff couldnt stop them first by saying someone was on their break, there was a little kitchen right next door to it where they could make their tea.

Morning all/afties Pat. Take it easy with the back. You want to able to do a bit of break dancing on the big birthday...
Fingers crossed for @punkdoc today. Goodnews about his mum though. Some of the golden oldies seemed to have come through it so well.
Bit dampish here, although it's going off slightly now. Not sure the shoes will dry out by tomorrow, but that's the way of it. That's the trouble with a Goretex gusset. No tittering @Hostafan1....
Did you enjoy wading yesterday?  :D  Younger fairylet used to have the odd swim in the pond at our last house. Think she'd struggle with the little one we have now.  :)

What a pain @steephill, although maybe a blessing in disguise?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
