You'll be overjoyed to be back home @Punkdoc and have the chance of a good night's sleep in your own bed (oops, nearly typed 'our own bed'!!!!). How they expect anyone to sleep at all in hospital is a mystery.
Hi everyone, so glad we are all back online.Ā Glad you are going home @punkdoc you must be relieved.Ā I've been to see Jonah and Gabriel today so only just noticed we are up and running.Ā We've had a couple of days of really heave showers and thunder storms so everything is well watered.Ā Hopefully it will be dry enough to get out there again tomorrow.
@Allotment Boy Ā thank you ... im not surprised at your sisterās response ... Iāve been knitting big Aran jumpers of late, and now a big blanket ... Iāll have to cut down on both size and the number of hours I spend knitting. Hey ho ... fortunately Iāve hit a purple patch in my painting so I wonāt Ā be twiddling my thumbs. šĀ
So sorry to hear about the redundancies. Times is very tough. I was saying to a friend just this morning that I think our generation had a charmed life between our parents and our children.Ā

Little and often is the only dietary restriction. Have lost 2 stone, which is good, but sadly mostly muscle which is not so good. Am feeling very weak and unbelievably stressed, but I know I am fortunate. Have to admit I was a bit tearful when we arrived home.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
I'm glad you are home, @punkdoc, must be a relief once the stress wears off, probably need a good night or three in your own bed.
@Obelixx accents still work like that but it's too much faffing about. The French use so many of them. When my children were at school they were deducted half a mark for each missed accent, marks were out of 20. Another thing this laptop doesn't have is a little circle for degrees of temperature. I'll have to use *.
Must be awful for all those who lose their jobs thanks to coronavirus and businesses that have to close down. I expect a lot of young people will be affected.
I've trimmed the box hedge today, done dead heading and made a chicken and leek pie for dinner. Lovely NDN has given me a big compost bin that she doesn't need. Our smallish one is full.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Glad youāre home @punkdoc ... the stress will wear off once you get some sleep, get the meds etc out of your system and your body recovers from the shock of what is actually an assault.Ā
Home cooking and communing with nature in your garden will also help you to feel more like yourself.Ā
Gently does it. ((Hugs))

So pleased to see @punkdoc up and about. Sleep well.Ā
Nice to read everyone's news, although tree was probably not nice news for @Hostafan1 or redundancy for @chicky and @floralies offspring.Ā
Life has been a whirlwind/rollercoaster ride here. You know when you have young children people often say enjoy them, it all passes so quickly... well lockdown (retrospectively) passed too quickly. I was bemoaning a lack of purpose....well that's all gone by the by.Ā
I'm juggling builders, weather, budget, time ....so it goes on. One minute I am dealing with bank managers and accountants - why can't they just talk to each other, and the next up to my eyes in ivy, having been stripped off the garden walls - awful stuff, I have actually filled two trailer loads of it with yet another to go.Ā
But, all being well we will be ready to open on the 26th - we have to open, we have reservations and a radio advert out there - tables are being delivered on Monday, carpenter is supposed to be off site by Monday, we'll see.Ā I just wish I could sleep, I am awake all night writing lists, either imaginary or real.Ā
So, I wish you all well, thank goodness for gardens (& wine), a dawn walk around it makes it all worthwhile, gosh the flowers this year have been sublime, and I will try and pop in soon, missed following everyone.Ā
āCoffee. Garden. Coffee. Does a good morning need anything else?ā āBetsy CaƱas Garmon
Thatās brilliant news @punkdoc - I am so pleased that you are home and on the mend. That āown bedā feeling will be bliss tonight.Ā
I hope everyone has been keeping ok. I canāt remember all the things I would have posted, but I recall checking in to see if the forum was back on several times a day!Ā
