@Dovefromabove - if you are going to sit out in the garden in the rain you might as well take advantage and give your oxters a quick shower. :D

    Morning all.

It poured in the night. Gentle rain now.

We are off to Tesco, bearing masks, highlight of the day.

@steephill 🤣  the first time I saw that was when the lawns opposite my window at work was returfed during a hot dry summer. There was a regular flock of woodies under the sprinklers every day 🕊 🚿

    Morning all.

Went out food shopping for the first time yesterday - just in the village, but it felt good to see more people.  They were well organised and respectful of the "2 in a shop, social distancing" thing, apart from a few elderly folk who should have known better.

I think we've been suffering lockdown fever.  Having painted the spare bedroom and "sewing room" (bunk beds for grandchildren, as well as my sewing stuff) a nice tasteful beige white, we've gone for "Film Noir" for the cupboards.  It's dark purple... but we think we like it...   :open_mouth:

Keep looking at those trees, @punkdoc.   :)

Morning all,  Throwing it down here and I've been out in the garden sweeping all the rose petals from the lawn so that Green Thumb can treat it.  Neighbours must think I'm balmy.  Forgot to mention that I manged to see mum earlier in the week.  Went to the home to drop off some essentials and the carers offered to wheel mum out onto the car park and provide me with a chair and cuppa so that I could have a proper chat.  We were quite emotional and even though we couldn't hug is was lovely.
Keep your chin up @punkdoc I'm sure you will improve day by day.

Well known that trees are good for you @punkdoc. I don't know if Bath RUH is an exception, having been redeveloped over many years but it contains I think, about 13 inside gardens, some of which include trees, for the benefit of staff and patients who can gaze down on them from their wards. Some of the larger ones have paths and benches for quiet time. They've been there for a very long time and are maintained by volunteers from our local Gardening Club.

Home from the coal face. It's rained all day, not heavy , but just enough to be annoying when carrying folk's shopping to their doors

Glad to "see" you home @punkdoc slow & steady is the way.
Feeling a bit guilty having moaned about the lack of rain & rejoiced in the fact it rained all last night, we completely forgot that OH's younger daughter & hubby were going to Kew today. They did go & it's poured down all day they gave up by 2:30 & now the. sun is shining. She is NHS & he is a Postie so they have both been working hard all through & deserved a nice day off.

Evening. Been raining non-stop here. Mustn’t grumble too much, as my grass, pond and water butts need it.
