Was just about the ask about Punkdoc, as the forum was "down" for so long, I gave up trying to log on in the end. Am glad you are home, looking seems you were in hospital from the 10th to the 17th. I think apart from everything else, pain from op, the virus, GAs make you feel weepy and depressed, and delicate.Ā I often feel I am wasting my time and my life at the moment, dont seem to be "doing" anything.Ā I am doing the normal stuff, baking, housework, shopping, (food, plants) gardening of course, a huge ammount of watering, I dont "do" McDonalds, costa coffee, cannot imagine anyone queueing all day, not a bit interested in going clothes shopping, a friend of mine went and complained you couldnt "touch" anything, try anything on.Ā I hate trying on clothes in stores, I am a size 10 and those mirrors make me look like a beached whale, C & A s were the worst, convex things. I suppose the beauty of not going out, dont need any new clothes. Not even bothered about the hairdresser, have got used to the new length
Good morning all š āļøĀ itās a glorious morning ... sunshine and birdsong ... so far anyway ...Ā I slept like a log ... thatās what comes of being back in the studio after a long gap ... concentrating can be exhausting.Ā
Today thereās bread to be made this morning, and I think thereās some fresh cod in the freezer ... thatāll be good with broad beans from the garden and parsley mash š once thatās all prepped Iāll be in the studio again ... donāt think thereās any watering to be done today ... just a lot of saucers and gravel trays to empty. Ā Bro said they had 22mm of rain overnight Wednesday/thurs ... I wouldnāt be surprised if weād had even more š¶ certainly the butts are full again.Ā
Gardening in Central NorfolkĀ on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Certainly not portrayed in the film, I was very much in the background, trying to provide some advice, as I was one of the few people who had actually seen people who had been poisoned by similar agents.
Drinking real coffee again, has been a great joy, the dish water served in hospitals did not help me get better.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
@punkdoc I have watched the first episode of The Salisbury Poisonings and am looking forward to the next episodes.Ā I also saw the interview on This Morning earlier in the week.Ā You must feel better being at home in your own environment - glad for you.Ā Ā
Good morning to you all.Ā The sun didn't stay long yesterday but came hot and strong at around 4pm.Ā This morning is bright and still - need to chuck some sulphur powder on my vines before the wind gets up. (Father-in-law's orders - he is a vigneron).Ā Ā
Glad you're enjoying your coffee @punkdoc, V glad you're back in the studio @Dovefromabove.
More rain overnight. Itching to walk down to the lake to see where the level is.Ā
Totally agree with @Obelixx. Hopefully folk will realise that binmen and supermarket staff are really MUCH more important to us all living our livesĀ than footballers , pop stars and other so called " celebrities ".
Maybe those who constantly knock the NHS might even have a rethink.
I sincerely hope that parents who are "home schooling" will now give teachers the recognition and appreciation they really need.
Apple - We will make a free track and trace system. Google - We will help, then it will works across 99 percent of phones. Should be ready by May. UK govt - No, We'll make our own version. Apple and Google - You'd need our help. Uk govt. - No we don't, Dom's mate says he can do it. Apple and Google - Off you go then. Dom's mate - Can I have your propriety code. Apple and Google - Hahahaha. No. Dom's mate - Why not? Apple and Google - Because your system breaches international privacy laws by ripping peoples contact data and storing it on your servers so you can use or sell it later. Public - It does? Fuck that! Hancock - Our world beating system is up and running, at a cost of only £120,000,000 NHS - No it's not. Hancock - We have hit a snag. Public - Whats that? Hancock - It doesn't work on iPhones. Or Android. And nobody wants to download it. Whole world - Really...?
Morning everyone, Lovely to see the sun this morning at long last. There's nothing like a proper cup of coffee is there @punkdoc to make you feel so much better. We have turned the irrigation system back on the raised veg beds - it has been turned off for the last two weeks, due to all the rain. Temps due to be in the 30's next week so will waft some up your way @Hostafan1. Must get a shift on now and go and post a birthday card.
Love your dialogue @Hostafan1 š¤£. So true. Ā But you missed out the bit about the last time the NHS tried to create their own IT system š±.
Rain has stopped here, so we are off to Chichester for a walk by the sea. Ā Very grateful that most of the things I enjoy doing in ānormalā life are outside šš».
Garden visit yesterday was soggy but beautiful. Ā Great to catch up with friends too š¤š„³
I remember the last time the NHS tried to create an IT system as well @chicky and when I heard about this one, I said to Moira, "that will be a waste of millions of pounds, with no end result. "
