I'm getting used to the idea of it NOT being there, it's rather dominating from the house.

    What about a multistemmed amelanchier @Hostafan1 ? 😎

Soooo glad to see everyone of course 😊 , but especially you @punkdoc 😊 ... glad you’re on the mend ... big hugs to both of you. You’ve been having a grim time.

@Dovefromabove - Finally remembered to ask big Sis about the knitting- Not great news I am afraid she has virtually given it up. She only does small bits & bobs now that don't take too long. Basically the doc told her it's very bad for posture, & making large heavy items such as cardigans & heavy jumpers is what was giving her the issues, as it's not just the repetitive movements but holding the weight of the garment that makes it worse.

    Hi 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻

Good to have the forum back - I’ve missed you all 😢

@punkdoc...... your own bed and some company will be lovely whilst you recover.

Chicklet’s furlough has turned into redundancy, so we are all a bit gloomy here ☹️.  The consequences of this virus are many and devastating.

Methinks she's not going to be the only one.
I suspect many organisations will use the whole Virus episode to " re-structure" .

That's a shame @chicky.   Not looking good for Possum either.   Her Masters is already held over to August cos of being unable to complete project work owing to inaccessibility of resources during shutdown.   No idea where she'll end up or what she'll be doing.   Must be desperate for families where parents are also losing jobs.

It's the same for my daughter @chicky, her furlough also turned into redundancy. She could have re-applied for a job with a £5,000 pay cut and the post then being hived off to another company at the end of the year with different pay and conditions. She took redundancy hoping that something might turn up at the end of summer- fat chance as there are so many people after just one job.

Afternoon all, it's good to be back; I've missed this! Been to my father in law's funeral today  :'( so this is a much needed distraction. Back in the garden tomorrow hopefully if the weather holds, the grass needs a good mow if nothing else. Hope you're all well
