Just seen that one adult household can now form a 'bubble' with one other household, stay the night and do not have to observe social distancing. Good news for those of us with adult single children living on their own elsewhere I thought but a dilemma for the child who then has to choose which other household. I might not be first on the list!

    Hey everyone.

I was up early and saw a fox in the garden (scruffy thing) - I think the mystery of a work boot found in the middle of the lawn the other day is solved 🦊
I started a post but must have forgot to send.
Busy with work stuff at mo, with the worry that all my planning for the Summer/Autumn will be shelved if we go back into COVID crisis.Ā

Been thinking of punkdoc - really hope he is doing ok.Ā
Meant to say to @chicky - I love the plaque on the greenhouse - a really lovely idea and sentiment.Ā

I hope everything is ok with you all. We are on a semi-diet so no choccy bar with my bed time cuppa tonight ā˜¹ļøĀ

Hello all.Ā  It's turned into April today, hail showers interspersed with bright sunshine.Ā  Currently sunlit rowan trees are silhouetted against a very black evening sky...

Thanks for good wishes for my soggy lawn.Ā  Well, it's still a bog... wet now spread further, and into the gravel drive.Ā  Builder is busy, but has promised to turn up soon, and at least we don't have a running stream or fountain from this leak.

Best wishes to @punkdoc and Moira.Ā
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

@Liriodendron, is your water pressure in the house still okay?

Hi everyone. Our son is coming down from Canberra today for a visit. He doesn’t think that he will be a risk for us, but I won’t be getting too close to him.Ā

At least I’ll be able to see my favourite cat.Ā

No news from Punkdoc yet? Ā  Ā

    Morning all.Ā
Rain pretty much all night and still raining now. " good for the garden"Ā
I'm interested to see if the level of the lake is noticeably higher.

    Morning all,

We have rain too @Hostafan1, good for the garden, yes, my carpenter isn't best pleased. He's worried about being electrocuted when using his chop saw.Ā  :open_mouth:

I hope your visit is enjoyable @Pat E, very difficult to keep your distance from your son. Here they are saying that it's 15 minutes of close contact that is the risk so perhaps a quick hug with a mask on would be ok as long as he hasn't been anywhere risky either.Ā

A friend of mine in the UK desperately wants to see his 88 year old mother. She is in a retirement village flat, has been very well supported and is fit as a fiddle but he obviously misses her. With the 'bubble' Boris has created he is technically allowed but he is just worried about infecting her. All very difficult.Ā

    A paperwork day for me today I think....my least favourite chore.Ā  :(

Hope to hear from @punkdoc too, hoping all went well.Ā  :)

Morning all/afties Pat - hope the visit was good - if distancedĀ  ;)
We don't have 'bubbles' of any kind, unless its in a bath. Still can't travel more than around five miles, but plenty of people wilfully ignoring it of course.Ā
Our persistent rain tailed off last night, but more this morning. The Scottish smirrĀ  :)
I forgot about some small plants in a tray. Oh well - they're still alive after sitting in a couple of inches of water for two days or so.
    The lawn will recover - I hope @Liriodendron :/
I expect Moira will let is know....

    Good morning all 😊 ā˜•ļøĀ
    I slept like a log šŸ›ŒĀ
It looks as if it’s been wettish overnight but it’s dry at the moment and there’s a gang of about twenty adolescent starlings out there, practising their formation flying 😊
