Great to hear from you @punkdoc, but as @Dovefromabove says, go back to sleep.  :)

    Morning all.
Great news @punkdoc, hope it’s not too painful.
    I hope @Dovefromabove had a good picnic.

Glad all those positive thoughts from on here seem to have worked @punkdoc.   Sleep and heal now.   Good luck.

Wet here, eventually.  Didn't start till dawn and then it was just a drizzle but proper steady rain now.  have had to rescue my tray of cavolo nero and PSB and put them in shelter but everything else will appreciate a soaking.

SM run for me today then I suppose I shall have to sew or finish decorating Possum's rooms.  Kind of got distracted by gardening.

Enjoy your day everyone.  Stay safe.

Good stuff @punkdoc. Your ears must have been burning  ;)
    Keep on keeping on.
My t'interweb is slower than a week in the jail just now. I need to source some decent savings accounts. The interest rates are dire though. Hey ho.
Been looking at various nurseries too. Another project for next year  ;)
Bees are still buzzing in their des res. Don't think they'll be venturing out much today either. Pretty murky and breezy. I may have to content myself with an indoor job. I noticed you were looking like getting a good bit of rain @Obelixx. Much needed I should think.
The sparrows were bringing their youngsters to the feeding cage earlier. Got a pic or two so I'll see if they're any good.

We had a lovely picnic thanks @Busy-Lizzie 😊... it didn’t stop raining so we spent most of the time in the car ... but it was lovely to get out and get some visual nourishment ... we started off at Brancaster Staithe, then along to Morston Quay, Blakeney and Cley, stopping off at the picnic deli for strawberries and asparagus, then East Runton, Cromer, Overstrand and Bacton before heading inland through the northern Broads and home. The run out was probably good for the car as well as us.

We opened the door to an ant invasion in the hall ... OH ‘dealt’ with it with the hoover and stuff. We’ve ordered a deterrent containing various plant extracts and some peppermint oil as well.

They used to live under the porch step but OH has been attempting to move them on by keeping the area damp .... they’ve moved on all right ... but in the wrong direction 🙄

Hello all.  Waiting for hubby to finish doing some filling before I'm let loose in the spare room with a small brush, painting the fiddly bits.   :)  I'd rather be gardening, but it's damp and windy...

Best wishes to @punkdoc - hope you're rapidly becoming less groggy...

Water pressure only slightly lower, @Lizzie27.  It's a slow leak by the look of things... fingers crossed it won't increase before the builder gets on the case!  And, @Fairygirl, I suspect the lawn will suffer mostly from having to have a big hole dug in it... fortunately it's not a beautifully manicured, flat sward, so another few lumps and bumps probably won't make a lot of difference.   :D

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
  • @Dovefromabove - glad you enjoyed the picnic! Regarding ants - is peppermint oil effective? We have a little crevice in the house near the door that is a bit anty from time to time -  but reluctant to put down terrible powder as we have cats etc.

No idea @rebeccamM6CA_Gn6 but OH says he read it somewhere. I’ll try to remember to let you know but don’t be afraid to jog my memory đŸ€Ż

Hi folks,  Great news @punkdoc hope you feel better soon.
Popped out this morning and picked up a few things for mum and dropped them off at the home and also picked up some flowers for our neighbours.  Someone has been over and tied lots of balloons and ribbons to the front gate, probably their daughter.
Have an appointment booked at the tip for 12.45 so that will be a day out for me  :D
    Have a good day everyone.
