Morning all - to come/afties Pat.
Hard to believe it's been that length of time for you and hubby.
Cloudy here too. Off for a walk soon. At least it's quiet. I wonder if the fox and it's cub will be checking out the Co-op for the new deliveries when I go by  :)
Stay strong @punkdoc. Despite all the issues just now, you're still in the best place.
Some strawberries just emerging here. I don't particularly like them, but there's plenty dotted around so the birds can have them.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

@punkdoc I wish you much courage.  Yes, those fears are unfounded but nevertheless they are real.  Moira must be very very worried, too about your feelings.  Please let it be known that we are all thinking about you at this time.  I'm glad you "escaped" - it makes you feel a little human again to be so mischievous!!

@D0rdogne_Damsel - a little glass of rosé "bien frappé" or 2 doesn't hurt - it's the crusty bread and beautiful cheeses here that accompany the wine that puts on the hips!!

@yvonneth83 - gardening is a therapy for a lot of things.  I took over my husband's vege plot when he passed away.  I say "See?" to him when I pick my first tomato!! And no, time doesn't heal.  We've all been there and understand your pain.

Good Tuesday morning to you all.   Tui.

PS.  Still cool down here with tiring strong winds.  Sunny though after spells of rain.  Weird.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
it’s a beautiful bright morning. I’ve got some jobs to do indoors but I hope I’ll have time to do some pricking out and potting on.

The very best punkcdoc, trouble with being in the medicals, we know too much, see the worst, think the worst, I dont do well with GA, Hospitals arent restful, I worked nights the last 25 years, tried very hard to keep things quiet and relaxed, (patients used to say, "its alright for you you dont know what its like", que me showing them my abdo scars!! Very unprofesional, but I could sympathise and empathise.

    Morning all.
Dry today before we get rain for the next few days.
I'm planning on spraying the roundup in the polytunnel then heading into the lake to fight with giant bullrush.
It's gonna be messy, dirty and very smelly

You can come and do our bullrush if you like @Hostafan1.  Despite being scraped bare by the bulldower the sides of our pond are now growing a healthy crop again.  Might have to get a raft of our own as it's too steep to clamber down and too deep there for waders.

Washing machine an has been and fixed the problem - one of my thick hair elastics stuck in part of the pump.  Oops.  Still, it only took 40 minutes and no new parts so fingers crossed it stays happy for a while now.   He's a sensible chap and has noted the references in case we do need parts in future cos, being Bosch, it's not standard French fare.

@punkdoc - hope you got to see moira and are feeling more positive today.

I've always thought doctors should be made to spend a few nights in their own wards.  they'd be a lot more sympathetic about how flipping noisy they are and how unrestful.   Architects and engineers too - then they'd know about sound-proofing against all night ambulance sirens and all the beeps and whistles of the monitoring machines.

Had a good bit of rain yesterday evening so I'm off to do some transplanting while the soil's in good fettle.   Nor rain expected today and temps to mid 20s so a good day for gardening.

Hope it is for all Forkers too.

    Morning all.
When I was nursing it was a mystery to me how anyone slept on some of the wards, 15 beds on each side. I don't even know what an English ward is like nowadays. In the French hospital near where I live the wards are small, one to four beds.

Chin up @punkdoc and think of next week with Moira by your side.

Nice morning so far. I'll give the painting a break and do some tidying in the garden, the roses are a mess after all the rain.

Morning all 😀. Very excited about going to Wisley this afternoon 🥳🥳🥳

AuntyRach and Pdoc will know better @Busy-Lizzie but when my Dad has been in hospital recently there are 4-6 beds on a ward.

Put a brass plaque up on our GH wall yesterday to remember my favourite Aunt and Uncle who made it all possible 😇😇

@pansyface No news from you today!  Did you have any effects from the courgettes yesterday?
