As long as he's not in your spare room @AuntyRach.... ;)
Are you doing all day Popmaster @Dovefromabove? Glad you slept better.
I don't know if my M.Glories will do well here, but hey - I've got loads germinated, so they can take their chances. Not putting them out for a couple of weeks though, although a few are getting ideas beyond their station...

    Morning everyone.

Good news about the neck, @Dovefromabove - now don't go mad and do too much!

    Glad @punkdoc had a good birthday.   :)

This year I'm growing an interesting mix of plants, some from RHS seed, some bought locally, and a lot of miscellaneous seed kindly supplied last year by Forum members in response to a request for plants to grow for the park I volunteered in, in Todmorden.  We sowed and planted out loads of things there, and the memorial garden was much improved as a result - but some of the seeds needed a greenhouse, which we didn't have, and some of the plants would have been inappropriate for the area.  So I have lots of sweet peas, biennials like sweet william, and half-hardy plants I've never grown before (dahlias, African marigolds, bedding plants etc).  It's all very interesting... and the garden will be a "riot" of colours and flower types I wouldn't have thought to include (and probably won't grow again, to be honest - lots of annuals, too many double flowers and too much bright orange!).  Very useful in a new garden infested with weeds though, while I'm growing on some of my shrub cuttings etc to plantable size.  :)

Sunny this morning.  Those weeds are calling... have a good day, everyone!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

We didn't do too well on the first lot of questions @Fairygirl …. but then neither did Ronan Keating ;)

He was quite funny though - to be fair! :D
Not good on that round myself, but better on the 2nd, and a Stevie 3 in 10 to boot. What's not to like  ;)

Loving the sound of your “riot” @Liriodendron - post some pics when it gets into its stride pls 😀😀😀.  Does your new place have a greenhouse then?

Weeds are calling here too - and I have a feeling there will only be a short window before it gets too hot to work (sorry @Pat E 😎) so I’d better get cracking 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️

I like the sound of your garden too, @Liriodendron Annuals are very useful when starting a new garden. Looking forward to photos.

🤔 I’m finding out what my neck does and doesn’t like ... it doesn’t mind a bit of gentle watering ... it objects to planting out of parsley plugs  ... I shall rest for a bit ...

Hi folks,  Glad the neck is a bit better @Dovefromabove I'm just getting a few twinges now and then but then I'm getting a few twinges everywhere after attacking the shed yesterday.
I've been painting a couple of wooden troughs that were used as part of Secondborn's wedding flowers.  They were blue and I've been meaning to paint them green for ages.  Thinking of using one as a little window box on the shed but not sue what I'd plant in there as its mostly in the shade.  I have a lovely tool rack on order as part of my birthday pressie but apart from that and the wood for the shelves everything used for the shed makeover I already had, so it hasn't really cost anything.  I have an old step stool that is just the right height for sitting at the potting bench so I'm going to have a look and see what paint I have that could give that a bit of a make over.
Hope everyone has a lovely day in the sunshine (sorry @Pat E )

Hello again everybody. Just watching a show of how Adam Lambert got tied up with Queen. Interesting. I’m a huge fan of both, so it’s good that they got together, 😁😁😁

Thanks for your sympathy about our lousy cold mist day. Hopefully, the next couple of days might improve, but glad you are all getting some sunshine,

It's extremely quiet here today and we didn't meet as many people as we do usually on our stroll down to the papershop this morning.
We appear to be the only people at home, I'm wondering if they're all on Bournemouth beach!
Too hot for gardening so just relaxing indoors. Bank Holiday Magnums chilling nicely in the freezer, they'll be calling to me soon!
