    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Another glorious morning ... and more pricking out, potting on and seed sowing to be done.

Don’t think there’s ever been a ‘normal’ in my life, but certainly some changes happen faster than others.😦

It’s so sad to hear of more   NHS staff giving their lives to save us ... true heroes every one of them. We owe them a huge debt.

Good morning Dove, Fairy, Hosta and all!

Beautiful again here too.  More planting out to do, and the grass needs cutting again...

Congrats, @Fairygirl - that's an ingenious solution.  I guess a few of us are finding ways to "repurpose" things at the moment... I'm finding useful animal feed sacks which the previous house owner buried in the wood, presumably to get rid of them.  Great for storage of brambles until I can take them to the tip.

Yes, @Dovefromabove - such selflessness among medical staff (here in Ireland too) is very humbling.  "Greater love hath no man than this..."
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

I don't know if any of you saw the BBC breakfast news earlier, with the young carer giving one of her residents a present. A cushion with his late wife's face on it, so that he can cuddle it. How beautiful. She's 17 and he's 94. Her parents must be very, very proud of her. Made me cry.
@Liriodendron - it was a case of do the pond, or leave the lily in a trug for the foreseeable, and it was getting on my wick! I can replace the fence later too, because that's annoy me as well  :D
Of course, just as I was drilling the last hole, and the battery was going on the drill, the r*ddy drill bit broke. Sigh. Just as well I have two sets. Other battery is charged, so I can hopefully finish it off reasonably well today. The liner is going to be makeshift too, but that's how it is. I'm always astounded at how many bags of soil come out of the holes too. Looks twice as much. That's compacted clay for you though.
Bet you're glad you're getting some good weather to get on too. Wouldn't be the norm there I'd imagine, any more than here.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Morning everyone, @Fairygirl that's such a touching story.
It's sunny here today and the wind doesn't seem quite as strong as yesterday.  The scaffolders have already been and put up a bridge over the conservatory and the builder has just arrived to get on with the repointing.  Hubby is planning to get up there when he's finished and paint the stone lintels and window ledges on the bathroom windows which we couldn't do before.
I'm expecting my primulas to arrive today so I'll be able to get them planted.
I'm going to have to call the doctors and see if I can get something done with my hands as I was in real pain last night.  Can't do the simplest things like fasten a button or turn a tap on at the moment.

    Hi all

Lovely sunny day again, it seems every window sill in the house is full, along with the g/h, really do need to start moving some stuff out.

Little sis who has been sleeping on the floor of mums flat in her sheltered accommodation, was chucked out in the middle of the night. Obviously we knew she was not allowed to stay, but as they were not providing any help, she thought she had no choice. I am not happy, but I don't know what I can do.

Have you contacted social services @punkdoc?  If she already has a s/wkr and you can’t get any response an emergency referral through the Local Authority main number might trigger a reaction.
The problem is that wardens in sheltered accom. do far less than was once the case. ☹️

Thanks @Dovefromabove, but mum doesn't have a social worker. Until she fell, she was living independently, although was starting to get confused at times, but at 93, we were not really worried.
I have arranged to speak to her GP this afternoon, to see if she has any ideas.

Moiras mum has now been moved to a convalescent hospital, but is also showing a marked deterioration in her general health. I suppose surviving COVID is bound to leave lasting issues.

That's a dreadful situation @punkdoc. Is there any possibility your mum could go to live with your sister temporarily?

Thanks @Lizzie27, sister is thinking about that to see if she could make it work.
