Ah - good. Thought everyone had gone back to sleep @Dovefromabove. I watched the news for a little while, then had a shower and fed the birds, but I was surprised no one had been on here yet. Think we've had some rain overnight. Everything is very damp. It was clear and almost a frost at night, but it was cloudy when I went to bed, so it can't have been a 'melt'. I want to get back out walking, but there are so many people who have suddenly appeared, along with various small children 'loose' on bikes and scooters etc...in the middle of the road. I went to collect daughter from work last night and there was a family spread across the road as I got to the junction. It's a narrow road leading to the farm etc, and I think they thought no one would be on it -don't know why - there's houses along it and the NT garden entrance. The woman looked at me as if I shouldn't be there. The kid on the bike in the middle of the road was about 4. I don't understand these people.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thank you for kind comments everyone. Don't worry, I am very aware of where I came from and where I am now, certainly not going back down that road. It's just a safe haven for Charlie and nice that we can be friends but nothing more than that. I don't think either of us are even considering anything else. After the disappointment of my last relationship, which seemed so good for such a long while, I am sticking with gardening and nothing else! Nothing beats the excitement of seeing little seeds pop up.
One thing that is driving me crazy is the lily beetles, my lilies are looking so good, such glossy green leaves and lots of them, standing tall in the sunshine, yet I am catching two or three lily beetles a day and they still keep coming. I've washed off the eggs, there weren't many but I am afraid I am damaging the leaves whilst trying to save the poor things. I wish there was a spray or something. Such a shame. I just hope I can save them. @Allotment Boy Have you got anything in your arsenal?
Waiting in at The Tearoom today for a big parcel - the 'roof' for my pergola is due to arrive, it was ordered before all this lock-down so I am pleased to be getting it. I want to put it up just to feel like I am doing something but am conscious it will be getting dirty whilst we wait for a July opening date....it is a retractable Roman blind in essence. I was so excited before all this happened to be making this improvement and I still am really. It does come with a cover so I will get it up and then after a little play to check it works I will roll it back into it's cover. That is of course if it does actually arrive.
A good day to you all, I'll check in later.

The roads here are becoming playgrounds ... tennis, football, toddlers on trikes etc ... all appropriately socially distanced of course ... but we’re a 20mph zone anyway.
We’re thinking about the need for a bit more ‘exercise’ ... pétanque anyone 🤣 ... when OH can find the boules set in the garage ......

I've moved about 200 Hostas from the tunnel and planted out in the garden. I'm thinking of moving some down to The Allotment. I've got empty beds down there and my babies are becoming congested in the tunnel.
Morning Dove, Fairy and Hosta Lovely sunny morning here. Delivering more shopping to Felixstowe today. We had about thirty people playing a game of catch with a football in the road the other night. They don't think that when they wipe their nose with their hand then touch the ball and throw it to the next person that the germs are getting spread. Oblivious to the risk and unwilling to comply. First time in my life, I reported them to the police. Police have handed out information in relative languages and it's been a lot better since but still not good enough I'm afraid.
Hi @WonkyWomble - I've just been reading an article where they're suggesting people confront neighbours about behaviour instead of phoning the police. Yeah - like nothing bad's gonna happen there then....

We live on a road that very few people walk up and down and if they do, they are regular faces. Not any more. Loads of people are now walking past. It has been commented on by someone who lives around the corner, "we dont know any of them." I am glad it is not just our household that has observed this.
My friend what's apped me telling me that they were playing street bingo. They were all in their front gardens and the numbers were being called over a loud speaker. She said it was great fun. They made the news!
Well it's a lovely day again. I have already been out to feed the birds and admire my garden on the way back to the house. I find I always have a slow amble back up my path to my house looking at what there is and if anything has changed overnight 🤣🤣
