    Just been down to store.
No more 20 customers in store at any time. 1 out 1 in. We're having a "warden ".
Only 3 tills open with 2m black lines on the floor to keep distance.
Delivery slots fully booked for the next 8 weeks.
    Devon.

Exactly Hosta.  I've done the tricky task of teaching some of my customers how to set up online shopping. Which trust me, tries the patience of a saint! Only to find they can't get a delivery!

    Morning all/afties Pat.
@WonkyWomble- you're providing a necessary service. Follow all the social distancing guidance as your Mum says, and keep safe. They need help, but you need to be ok  as well x
@punkdoc- cheeky ******. Did you offer him a tin of Brasso for his neck instead?
@Hostafan1- you'll just need to tie hubby to a chair if he starts, but he might enjoy that... :D
@AuntyRach- no one here will do anything but offer you their total gratitude - you and everyone else at the sharp end. Fortunately, the good people outdo the morons.
It was lovely to see that footage from a Tesco store, with staff giving NHS workers flowers when they were getting their shopping.

Thanks for the good wishes for fairylet. As a young adult, she self isolates in her bedroom most of the time anyway, so it should be fairly easy  ;)

Morning all - recognise the hard shell/soft centre bit @AuntyRach.  And can I add our thanks to you and all the others who are working so hard in really difficult times.

Littlest Chicklets Thursday flight got cancelled.  Have written to our MP for help in complying with Foreign Office advice that all Brits should come home ....but won’t hold my breath.

Feels strange today.  Apart from our daily walk and grocery shopping we have not been out for over two weeks, so life will not really be that different here. But somehow it feels very different.  Shows its all in the mind.

It feels strange here as well. Very quiet, only heard one car and one delivery van since we got up.
@Chicky - shame about littlest chicklet's cancelled flight home, you must be so worried.
@Fairygirl - how is she this morning?

She's still just coughing @Lizzie27. Thank you for asking. :)
I found the thermometer, so it's been 'disinfected' and she can check herself with it too.
@chicky- not the situation you wanted  :/
I can understand the difficulties with flying - confined space for that length of time etc,  but I can also see the reasoning for not letting people travel. I hope you get a resolution. Poor chicklet.  :/
    How is your Dad?

    Hugs to everyone feeling anxious.
@chicky, in a "clutching at straws " way. She's in a country with a good health system and she's safe . There are plenty of places where she could have been stuck which are neither.
    Devon.

    That's a good comment @Hostafan1

Did you hear that news about a care home in Spain?
    Horrific.

Horrific. One had hoped that this would bring out the best in folk. Clearly we were being naive

The good, the bad,the ugly and the just plain stupid.  My youngest son, (hes registered disabled, suffers from huge anxieties) says its a shame its not an inteligence spreading virus, instead of an intelegent virus.Got another joke, you rememer the Daddy Daddy ones back in the 70s, Daddy Daddy how much further to America, "Shut up son kep swimming".  Boy at the dinner table, "Mum, when will tis virus thing be over", (Mum) "Shut up son and eat your toilet paper"
