Morning all,  Congratulations Hosta, being a grandparent is magical.  Gabriel's fever has broken and he has finally eaten and is much more himself.  Have been to mum's care home and taken her mother's day present and a few treats.  Obviously couldn't see her but at least she knows we are thinking of her.  The grandchildren are all writing letters and drawing pictures for her and sending by post so that will keep her going. On my short journey I noticed lots of people having driving lessons, not sure how that fits in with with the current thinking on keeping your distance.

My hands are painful today after stripping ivy from the fence and painting panels, hubby is taking over today so that I don't have to.
It feels very strange today, Sunday is when I look at the coming week and plan what I'm going to do around nanna duties.  I've just realised I'm not doing anything in particular and not going anywhere.

    Stay safe everyone.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mums. Special thoughts to those who find today hard without their Mum (I know I do).

    Congratulations Grandpa Hosta!

Had some garden time today but have come back in for a chill now as was up early and need to rest the bones before another busy week ahead.
My garden and I live in South Wales.

Glad you had a chance to do some gardening @AuntyRach and hope your week isn't going to be too awful.

Evening all.  Auntyrach  you deserve all the sunny days in the garden you want and so much more! Thank you! Xx
Went for my stomp to forage for wild garlic and found a whole wood fill of it! Now made 4 tubs of pesto with olive oil, hard cheese, toasted walnuts and cashews. yummy!

I'm rather pleased with it Dove   :) put some in the humongous lasagne I've got in the oven.  Think my brother is quite happy about that!  ;)

Blimey - wild garlic's early down your way Wonks!
The girls used to bring it home from the little wood across from our old house round the corner. Gave me the dry boak  :D
I hope you have a good week @AuntyRach. Very testing times for all of you. I just wish the lunatics causing you all grief would behave, but that's why they're lunatics eh?
@Yviestevie - that's great that the wee fella is perkier. A relief for you all. I was just thinking that about driving instructors the other day. I'm just glad youngest fairylet passed her test last month. It would have been even more of a drag for her.
Older fairylet had more clowns today 'in store'. Another self entitled wumman having a hissy fit 'cos she couldn't have five tons of rice. stupid bint  :|
I've spent all day in the garden being quite productive, then I picked some Hellebores and Snowdrops to take to the cemetery. It's been beautiful - sunny and no wind, which is what makes the difference. Even had my lunch outside.
I gave my Cream Delight phormium it's annual haircut, and I thought of Joyce while I did it. She bought one after admiring mine. It's become an even more important plant in my garden now.
Nice to have some dirt back under the fingernails too  ;)

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I drove through Launceston and there was a woman sitting in a deck chair on the pavement and her parents were at the front door. Bless'em
