I've just spoken to my sister. Her holiday to Cost Rica ( due to leave tomorrow ) has been cancelled. I'm rather pleased . It's a very long way away to be "stuck" if something happens.
An interesting morning ahead @punkdoc .... as has been said, don't overdo it.
We decided last night to see if we could get a slot for a home grocery delivery ... W'rose didn't have any slots for quite a while, but our second choice of Morrisons will be delivering on Friday between 6-7pm. One 9 roll pack of loo roll and 2 packs paracetamol was the limit which I thought was perfectly acceptable. They will only deliver to the doorstep but that's fine.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Sad to hear Roy Hudd has gone ... he lived down near my old home ... his interest in antiques meant that my son came across him quite a bit ... he said he was good company in a saleroom and told a good tale.

@Busy-Lizzie - headed off to Leclerc today but, lo and behold, Mr Bricolage was open so I headed there for paint and some wood for a headboard and skirting boards before doing a quick raid on the SM. Still no panic buying tho the green bean end of the freezers was empty.
Confirmation today that mosaic group and dancing are cancelled for the foreseeable and also our garden club's annual plant fair in mid April tho we and the nurseries involved hope it can be postponed rather than completely abandoned. I expect the Angles fair will be cancelled too and that's a pain as that's where I get my heritage tomatoes.
Hope you get home OK tomorrow.
It's dull and grey here so I shall happily wave a paintbrush around this afternoon - tongue and groove pine ceiling to paint so no rollering - then cutting in the main wall which is to be peacock blue. Yikes!
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

That did not go well. It seemed they wanted a document showing how admission criteria would change as the outbreak went on, followed by a plan for withdrawal of treatment. All very sensible, but it seemed clear that they could not get anyone currently working to do it, and it soon became clear they wanted a scape goat, for when everything went wrong. Well it won't be me. I need a lie down.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Our lovely house sitter has said I must email him a shopping list and he will get it tomorrow morning. Our flight is still OK and I've just read that France shouldn't be closing the border with the UK as they are in a worse state than the UK.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
That task would be extremely difficult both personally and professionally @punkdoc. Talking to my intensivist colleagues, this is the bit they are dreading the most.
Now, more than ever, I will relish every moment out in the garden. I have encouraged my older relatives to get some garden air each day - enjoy the bird song, marvel at the new growth, welcome the sun and take some time for some mindfulness/ gentle stretches/ deep breaths. I hope you can all do this too (or your take on it).
I’m awake early, so hello Forkers. I’m glad you’ve got out of that horrible duty Punkdoc. It sounds awful.
It’s so nice to see Fairy back on the forum.
Our windows are fogged up behind the curtains, so I guess I’ll just lay her under the doona for a while longer and read my novel. Hubby is still asleep. 😁

On the positive side, we are due for several more dry days.
