Good morning.   I didn't hear the French PMs broadcast but there's a link to it here for anyone interested - https://www.francetvinfo.fr/sante/maladie/coronavirus/coronavirus-ce-qu-il-faut-retenir-des-annonces-d-edouard-philippe-sur-l-epidemie_3866459.html

I shall go to Leclerc in Luçon tomorrow @Busy-Lizzie as it sells paint, then, with any luck, I'll have all I need to get Possum's bedroom done - except for my plans to make a headboard with fixed lights.  Ho hum.

Plenty of online tutorials for patch blocks too @chicky, if you're interested that is.   Theresa Down Under and Missouri Quilt Company are very clear.  I have a big sashiko porject to keep me busy in the evenings........

Thanks @Obelixx, I’ll see how I go with cross stitch first.  I used to do a lot - the counted ones with charts suit my mathematical mind (â˜ș) - of course it all stopped when Chicklet arrived.  I have one on the go from 23 years ago ......any guesses to what it will be ???

Hi folks,  Wet and miserable here today.  I'm normally off to see mum but the care home is on lockdown at the moment and as she can't hear anyone on the phone I wont have any contact with her.   :'( I know it's for the best, but it's really worrying as I'm sure with her health issues if she does get ill then it wont be good news.
I'm hoping that the weather will improve so I can get out in the garden as it always lifts my mood.  Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday.

My sisters and I have been informed that we are no longer allowed to visit Mum in her care home.
I am really concerned for her mental well being as she relies on my little sisters visits.

Our Ukelele group has decided to cease meeting for the next several weeks, so we’ll have to try to practice alone at home. It sounds like the best plan at this stage. No sense in pushing our luck. Haven’t heard of any locals with the virus, but it’s a bit late finding out after you’ve been confined to a small room with others. 🙄

im trying to convince my daughter to talk her son’s father into cancelling the 21st birthday party he has arranged for their son in the Greek Club in April. She doesn’t seem convinced  that it could be a problem. I’ll have another go at her in a couple of days time. 😉

Planning an early night here, so catch you all tomorrow.

    Hey all.

The psychological impact of all this is so awful for our oldies. My Dad and in-laws are finding it hard already. All I can hope is that I get it, do ok, and then can re-start visiting once I have immunity. I am calling or video calling my folks - can they set something like that up for your Mum @punkdoc? It’s just so sad isn’t it?

Hope everyone is ok. Raining here so might do some seed sowing indoors. I am fortunate to have a little annexe room by the back door so it can be my make-shift greenhouse.

When my Aged Ps were in a care home, if a relative was not visiting in case of spreading bugs etc (Norovirus/flu etc) the staff in the care home were happy to arrange a Skype visit if  that was suitable for the resident ...it really helped some of them ...  come on folks ... think laterally 👍

A friend of A friend who lives in Spain says that they are restricted in movement for 15 days, allowed to buy food at certain times, etc. But "being Spain, there is an exemption if your trip is just to go to the tobacconist". This has resulted in smokers buying frequent small packs of cigarettes... rolleyes

Oh yes.  Forgot those.  Tabacs are open in France too.

Tomorrow is going to be interesting to say the least.

Had to go back to SM this am as their was none of our usual bread yesterday. Kind lady on bread counter said she would put one by for me. Yesterday SM was quiet TODAY IT WAS MANIC. I think the news that they might put in extra restrictions soon has induced mass panic round here. Got my bread, (1 sourdough 1 Cranks wholemeal) and got out as fast as I could. Hope @Hostafan1 has a reasonable day.
