    Hi all
We are in sunny Gairloch, and have wi-fi, which is a surprise.
Beautiful day, sitting on the patio, looking out at the sea, and there is a Cuckoo singing.
I feel like I am home.
    Love to all.

Woke up to the sound of a cuckoo here this morning, unfortunately no view of a Scottish sea loch but beautifully sunny.

Punkdoc, that sounds blissful. There is a farm property across the valley called Gairloch. They must have been homesick when they came out here. There’s also one on the way to town called Glen Fergus. Must have had a little Scottish community here in the early days. 😁

    Night all.

Hello islander, I am originally from the West of Scotland and now live where Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire meet in the South of England. A few lochs would improve the landscape but it is really quite pleasant round here. We back onto the South Downs National Park so lots of trees and wildlife.

Lovely quiet day in the garden today, just weeding and trimming and generally fiddling about. Lots I should have been doing that was more urgent, but it's been a long week so I decided to indulge myself for a bit  B)
