Hello everyone - special HI! to @Fairygirl. Glad you've been taking advantage of the weather and your retirement, and walking in the hills. Good to know that @punkdoc's enjoying Scotland too!
Wonderful weather. It's hubby's birthday today and he informs me that May 15th is like this more often than not... is he right, or is this just the natural optimist in him? Anyway, we've been out for lunch so I went straight to sleep when we got home. Must be getting old myself...
Fingers crossed, @Lily Pilly , that your friend understands much better than you fear, about you being too unwell to participate in the wedding. Absolutely no point making yourself worse! Best wishes to @islander too. ME can absolutely flatten you and you do right not to push yourself too hard.
I agree with @Dovefromabove and others about the balance of froth and substance on this thread. Just about right, in my opinion...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Mine is 23/11 and I too remember weather as it sort of sticks in your mind. Often as not in Belgium we'd have snow that week then no more till January no matter how good or bad December was.

Cheers Liri. Hope OH has had a fab day - and you too. Having a nap though? What's that about? Lazy mare.... I think your hubby's right re the weather. It's certainly a good month up here normally - sunnier and drier - although these very high temps are unusual. It's been really good for getting on with outdoor jobs...and drying the washing We've treated ourselves to a fish supper, even though it's no one's birthday. Very nice it was too. Physio for me tomorrow. Might get a walk in afterwards too. It should be a bit cooler later on, so much more pleasant.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Just been for my first cycle 🚲 of the season ......goodness I enjoy it so much more than 40 lengths of a pool (my winter workout). Need to get myself in gear as we have a mini cycling break in Holland coming up ....Dortrecht this time 🚴♀️🚴🏻♂️
Totally agree with froth/substance balance .....bit like a good guinness 😜
Happy Birthday to Mr Liri ......thank you for the sunshine ☀️ 😎

Yes, I know, @Fairygirl... my excuse for the nap is that I was unusually stuffed, having succumbed to a birthday pud (apple pie and ice cream).
