Sometimes, just having a bit of attention and a massage for a sore spot works wonders for moral if not the problem.

    Hello all.

Don't think I would have liked massage when I had tendonitis in my shoulder, too ouch!

    Damp and cold here too.

I expect we'll be back to Bressingham when we have guests staying in June/July.

Feeling a bit fed up with Gardeners World magazine. From this year they won't send the 2 for 1 tickets abroad, no warning either. They say they will send them to the cottage as I was cross with them on the phone. Do they think people abroad never go back to the UK?

    More likely they don't think.

It has stayed damp and cool so cleaning continues.  Patchwork fabrics now sorted by colour group and in transparent boxes which should make finding stuff easier.  Now having a serious go in the kitchen.   OH has been very thorough with his bloody Dyson but then emptied it into the "halfway" compost bin with the annex door open so the dust could fly back in.  Doh!  In case you're wondering, it's the halfway stage between little "compost corner" in the kitchen and big bins in the potager.

I am planning big island beds in the south west corner of our plot so all photos of Bressingham gardens will be most welcome.

Well, I have spent today helping to put up a barbed wire fence, and chucking back prunings over the fence.    Next week I was going to be going to wet Wales, but I am staying at home glaring at men with chainsaws and diggers, and hubby is going to collect seaweed for me.  Next week, planting holly and hawthorn.

Thanks Busy-Lizzie.   There will be shrubs and probably a tree or two in mine but having the pics of the drifts of colour is very helpful.  I shall need a whole tractor-load of manure too for moisture retention.

Fidget - sounds like a good plan and Wales will still be there for a later visit whereas your boundary and plants clearly need defending.
