Glad it went well Pat. Half way for you now, so here's hoping it continues to go well. Exhausting for both of you. Try and be kind to yourself too. x I haven't watched Chelsea [forgot it was on] but I had a look at one of the threads
I never watch the one which is full of gushing celebs, but I find it very repetitive. Lots more coverage than there used to be, but still only showing a small range of items. Always seems like a missed opportunity somehow. Maybe I'm getting old.

No idea. Everything is hush hush, rumours abound, no one will give a name, but knowing a solicitor who specialises in large scale conveyancing was useful. I now know the names of the companies who have options on which parcel of land, who the directors are , and where one of them lives. It would appear the land has not yet been sold, but we assume a price has been fixed subject to planning permission. There also seems to be a tree with a TPO missing. It was always on the cards that it would be built on, I just object to the way they destroy everything in sight, with no care for nesting birds, or my shrub border, or even my veg patch. Then they promise to clear the rubbish, they didn't so (four weeks later)I have thrown it back, then get shouted at for throwing rubbish on their land. It beggars belief.
They have picked on the wrong person if they think I will give in easily. I might just post some info,(anonymously) to the people living in the quiet cul de sac on the other side which is likely to be the main access road. Pass the wooden stirring spoon.
NO FG - we say it every year. Coverage too limited and repetitive given the amount of air time plus the fact that people can see it all on recordings, catch-up etc so no excuse for all the repetition..

Pat from my little knowledge chemo usually depletes the white cell count, so as long as it doesn't go sky high it'snot such a bad thing. Often if white cell count is low they have to delay treatment which just prolongs the process.
OH has cut the grass and helped me put up a teepee for the beans. I’ve planted them and the courgettes out ... the courgettes are under a mini poly tunnel type cloche so they should be ok, and the beans are a variety which had some French bean in its DNA and I’m sure I’ve read somewhere that they can cope with slightly lower temperatures ... 🤞 and he’s moved the chiminea since I took the photo ... it’s where we burn receipts etc. 😆

I'm back from a weekend in Ireland, briefly visiting the grandchildren but mostly looking at the house we're going to move to. We were treated to a degree of Irish hospitality beyond anything we've met before... the vendor rang us in England before we left, to say they might be out when we arrived, but the key would be under the wheelie bin and his wife had "left us a sandwich". This turned out to be a plate full of sandwiches, scones, apple pie (made especially for us by the neighbour over the road), scones, tea etc... a lovely couple, really kind and helpful. We're looking forward to living there - the house needs work though, before we move in, so it'll be at least 6 months, we think.
I'll try and read back - you've been pretty chatty!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Ooh doc - you know the way to a girl's heart I'll have to wait until I can do a stayover to get some of the hills in the north west. Too far for a day trip. Liathach is such a stunning hill, and Loch Maree is always beautiful. Glad you had such great weather for your trip - May is so often the best month of the year.
Liri - I must have missed you having a 'flitting'. How exciting. Lovely when you get there and lunch is provided too That'll be lovely for you being nearer the children/grandchildren too. Fidget - I had a look back at your posts re the annihilation next to you - easier than looking back on this thread. It's utterly horrific. I hope you can get some sort of successful resolution. The way these people go about things is despicable. Got Chelsea on in the background. Did anyone else think it was funny that the bloke with the seedheads/grasses display, was dressed just like them?

I thought the chiminea was to keep your plants warm on frosty nights!
I did my bean teepee square as I now have rectangular beds and there are broad beans on the other half.
Sun is out, I'm off to the garden.
