Had a productive afternoon weeding out squillions of oak saplings which were making a bid for domination towards the back of one of my borders.  Made the mistake of thinking that leather gardening gloves would make it ok to grasp a nettle ....ouchity ouch.  My thumb is still throbbing 5 hours later.

Time for more Middlemarch now, with Eurovision as background noise 🙉

    We haven't watched Eurovision either.

Normally I would be planting out bedding plants and tomatoes now but the GH is all shut up and the cold frame lids are on. Had torrential rain this evening. Horses were huddled under a tree, silly things, there is a perfectly good field shelter, log man re-roofed it last year. Heating came on and we lit the sitting room wood burner.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

It's just not right is it BL?  We turned off the CH system today - only does radiators now - but the heat exchangers were working hard and I still need a rug for evenings on the sofa.   Toms, cucs, squashes and the rest still lurking in the PT.

Chuck was good.  Now we're on Line of Duty then bed.  Tomorrow's plant fair is over an hour's drive away so an early-ish start.

We’ve had two nights over 10C ... I’ve left the toms, beans, courgettes in the little greenhouse for the first night rather than bring them indoors ... fingers crossed 🤞

We watched various shows between Election results ☹️. We skipped through playback of Eurovision, but mainly watched Two full shows about Queen. Loved Freddie. 😭

Bright and sunny here after a wet evening and night.  Cold tho and only 16C later.   Never mid, it'll be fine for the plant fair at Vouvant.

Have a lovely day everyone and hugs to all feeling low or poorly or hurting.

Morning peeps 😀. A mixture of potting up, tying back and tidying today.  Although got to do some work first (yuckk).  And then maybe a bike ride later 🚴‍♀️
