I was travelling back to France, then trip to supermarket, then inspection of garden. Everything has grown like mad.

Two noisily amorous hedgehogs snuffling around on the terrace right by the back doorstep 😊

Aw - I'd love some amorous hedgehogs! A friend nearby has them getting jiggy on her doorstep. Apparently they're very noisy!

Thanks for all the congratulations for Bow. It was quite unexpected but a nice boost for her before the exams got started in earnest. Two down, 22 to go... Macbeth and An Inspector Calls tomorrow... I hope the SATs are going OK, Lizzie27. Nearly done.

Glad you're enjoying your new furniture, Pat. You're getting frost just as we're trying to decide whether the last frost has passed.

Hope you get all your homework done, Obxx

No LG.  Been busy researching patchwork stuff for inspiration - free hand quilt-as-you-go blocks, watering all my pots which have been dried out by the strong breeze today and sewing a pair of lightweight trousers.  Too warm for jeans or winter trousers but not warm enough for shorts or skirts or pedal pusher length.   Pesky fabric has lycra in it and is very mobile.  Pure cotton in future!

    Patchwork homework tomorrow then.

That's a lot of exams!   Hard work for parents as well as kids.   Good luck to everyone going thru it at whatever age.

Hope it was a good trip home BL and that all is well.

Saw one hedgehog here last year and fed it but it then turned up dead.  Haven't seen anymore but there's loads of cover for them and I would think lots of food so I wouldn't expect to really.

Did see a hen harrier this morning and we finally have one greenfinch!  Lost all the ones in Belgium to that disease and this is the first one here.   Chuffed to bits.

No frost, but still pretty nippy out there this morning ......just done the pre-work greenhouse dash 😀. Agree with @Busy-Lizzie ......things are growing like mad - hope you had a good trip home.

Loved An Inspector Calls ......so clever 🤓. Maybe less lovable if you have to read it 150 times and be able to quote large chunks of it 🤔

Very excited at the return of the greenfinch 😀😀😀

Hello all. I've been a bit absent from this thread for various reasons, and then got out the habit, so I'm sneaking back in for a wee chat.....
Don't think I can read back much but I'll have a go later when it'll be too hot to do anything much outdoors. Roasting out on a hill yesterday, and coming home the car therm was at 24/25 degrees. Bit too 'Scorchio' for me  :D
    Lovely pic chicky.  :)
Congrats to Bow, LG, although I may have to go back a fair bit to see exactly what she's done!
Take it easy islander - going with the flow is the only way, I expect.
Greenfinches not in evidence here in the garden, but they are around in the nearby fields and hedgerows which is good.
Love to everyone, especially those in need of a hug. I'll try and get the gist of the goings on soon....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
