@AnniD. I now have to confess that it's not 26 Heucheras but 31! Forgot about the four on the outside and the one in a pot on the "patio" area. Haven't looked at the SGC email yet... Miss Hog obviously didn't like being pushed backwards and let him know what she would do if it happened again. Do hope OH is going to be ok now. It was a long wait but worth it if all is well now. Bless you. You can rant as much as you want especially if it helps you. Hope you enjoyed your snooze and custard tart. My mouth was watering as they are one of my favourites. @Valley Gardener. Glad you said you can't have too many heucheras! At least I have the space to spread them out. They seem to be one plant that does well for me. I keep asking my son to send me the photos of the "beginning" so I just have to be patient. I have often pulled out what I thought to be a weed only to find it was something I planted a while back. Do have a diary and make notes but don't think to look back at it. I've never thought of tadpoles as having arms! Sounds as though you will be having a garden full of frogs soon. Hope your cat grass grows soon. I have forgotten again to plant some up. Your weekend sounds the ideal break. Do hope you enjoy it. Maybe they sell unusual plants there...
As usual its the midnight post lol,..i can never fit in all the things planned to do in just one day,..not enough hours in the day.
@AnniD,..I hope the laser zapping worked for your OH,..i believe its pretty sore to have it done or perhaps its the after effects?.
I wonder has Mr and Mrs B started a family,..with all the coming and going it could well be so.
You are being well entertained with your Hogs,.. the bumping is something to see and i would say not many people have seen it before,..for anyone reading this post i do mean one Hog actually bumps the other hog,..like head butting,..my Hogs have not turned up for the past three nights,..at least while i was watching for them,..maybe they are on a later feeding time.
Foxy Molly tends to stop and look back at me when she reaches the 100 yards distance.
In the distance there are two Steeples together,..i live 100 paces to the left of them,..its about the same distance to the meadows so i am on the very edge of Town.
It was very overcast today though warm enough at 19C=66F,..there was a quick shower early in the morning and another late this evening,..luckily it was clear in between,..with nothing really left to do in the garden it was a case of idle hands......? so i set about moving the garden seat from one side of the back door to the other,..of course that caused other things to be moved,..all this due to one of my rose bushes reaching the size that was big enough to leave its fellow cuttings,..all 9 of them,..a rich fruity scented yellow climber now situated at the back door.
I thought the big plant/Shrub,.. a Hibiscus 'Woodbridge' which was situated where the seat is now could be moved into the corner,..nope i decided to move it again.
Mmmmmm that left a space where i took the Hibiscus from,..so i moved the Heucherella 'Sweet Tea' beside the rose bush.
Then the Variegated Mintleaf 'Plectranthus Madagascariensis' took over the spot where the Heucherella 'Sweet Tea' was located lol,..oh what fun lol.
Those were a nice selection of images,..the Pansies are always so striking with their vivid colours,..i agree with your not liking the metal baskets,..they go rusty and even quicker their chains,..i have metal ones but they are used as protective covers over my Lilies when they are just starting to protrude above the soil,..birds looking for worms can destroy all of them were they not covered.
Your tiling looks great along the gravel pathway,..great idea and they look so neat,..holy cow you have a lot of Heucheras,..i thought i was bad and i never intended to have so many,..blame it on cuttings lol.
That was a great deal getting the David Austin Rose reduced because it had no name tag,..its a nice looking rose.
I see what you mean about the Foxgloves,..if you manage to get one that is of a great colour it will cross pollinate with your present one and produce many surprises,..or someone could send you seeds
Below is the rose bush with a multitude of buds,..this is the mystery rose bush producing two different types of blooms.
Those tall Ferns grow in abundance here in my garden,..there are others unlike these tall ones and are pretty nice but its the tall ones i really like,..they may be 'Shuttlecock Ferns' they certainly look similar to them and perhaps that is what they are.
The other type of Fern is to the right of the ornamental Cat,..it does get taller but does not have that distinctive shape like the ones you admire.
Sweet Alyssum.
The first bloom from the Antirrhinums.
Away from any house and down along the Canal,..this Cat with a collar hunting for small ducklings.
Good morning all l have been playing "Spot the Foxy Molly". Love that photo of her in the doorway with a "This is my domain" expression. @nultyphilip224 , OH is fine (or he says he is), the eye isn't sore, but he did have a bit of a headache yesterday evening. An early night seems to have done the trick. Like all men, he hates a fuss, but l'm keeping an eye on him, if you'll pardon the pun. Mr and Mrs B definitely have babies, they are nesting in a tree in next door neighbour's garden. We also have sparrows nesting in the thuja hedge, l can hear the babies now and again. We also have a robin that comes for the mealworms, he (?) is starting to look more and more tatty as the days go by. I am keeping my fingers crossed for hoglets, we shall see. The dish is clean yet again, even the cat biscuits have gone. Today l shall be pottering about, maybe like Philip moving pots about 😁. I have a list of jobs as always, but will be trying to pace myself after yesterday's excitement. As always, wishing everyone a good day - and right on cue Mr B starts chuntering. 🙄
