    Good Morning all.
The weather is rather the same here at the moment. Dull with the promise of sun this afternoon.
@nultyphilip224   Your Harts Tongue fern looks very similar to one I have so I will check it out later as there should be a label. I know what you mean when you don't like someone. I always give them the benefit of the doubt at first but if nothing changes as you say keep your distance and don't get involved. That bee certainly looks like a wasp so it's hard to differentiate. I am sure @Purplerain can tell the difference after having a nest of them. You still haven't bought Foxy Molly any sunglasses.
@Valley Gardener I bought some English Lavender recently to replace those that had died and the plants were nothing like the ones I originally had so rather than fill the spaces I planted them elsewhere on their own. What is that lovely white flowered plant that is around the Bee House? It looks as though it has really spread itself. Is Cush short for cushion?! She certainly looks as comfortable as one. I have been hosing the allotment the last couple of days but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Soon dries out again.
@AnniD  Your hogs are certainly liking the food you put out for them. Strange that Mouse has never returned. Maybe more than one hog is too much for him.  That is strange. A notice came up to say you had posted and there he is! All on his own I see.
I often expect someone to come back to me to say I have mixed them up with someone else. Not so far but maybe posters are being too kind.
@Purplerain Hope you don't get any ground frost if you are planting out today. It does seem a shame to undo all the work of the wasps but needs must. Were there lots of dead wasps to clear up. They always seem to build a nest where it's not wanted. Not quite sure how old I feel today. If the sun comes out I may feel a lot younger.

I had an idea re my photos but whether it is viable I have no idea. They came through on my email but are rotated 90 degrees I think. If someone was willing to let me know their email address so I could send them on would it be possible to take a photo on a phone and post it on the forum?? Just an idea but could make you laugh.  :(

I'll leave it at that and wish you all a good day.  :)

@FranIOM. I'm going to write this before I forget!
The white plant is "Cerastium" better known as Snow in Summer!
And yes Cush is Cushion, we picked about three exotic names, but he feels like a cushion, very squidgy!
The whole truth is an instrument that can only be played by an expert.

@Valley Gardener. Thanks for getting back so quickly. Like me leave it any longer and you forget. Looked it up on the SGC website and did a search and got quite excited when it came up only to see "Sold Out"! Will keep looking. Thought I was taking liberties suggesting that Cush was short for cushion not really thinking that I would be right! Seemed an unusual name and thought it may have foreign connections.  :)

@AnniD really pleased to see our little friend the mouse back in the garden. Maybe he was staying with the friendly owl for a holiday. I bet if you looked hard, you would find his suitcase under a flower 😉.

I have had such a dither of a morning. First of all the trowel went missing, then the tin with the sweet pea rings vanished, so more time was spent looking for things rather than planting. I have held back around half of everything as an insurance policy. Better  safe than sorry. I didn't find any dead wasps Fran, but when I opened the shed, another one flew out. I hope that's the last of them.

Edit: just missed your post @islander. Gorgeous little cats.

@Purplerain and @Fran IOM it's not the first time l have muddled up someone's name (and something tells me it won't be the last 🙄) . I sometimes sit with a piece of paper and pen and note who said what, but it's rare that l am so organised!
What l came back to say was that l can't help re: photos in the way you suggest Fran, my mobile is a basic calls and texts one. I'm sure someone will come up with a cunning plan.......

@AnniD I often have to make notes of what has been said as it saves scrolling up and down and backwards and forwards. Does make life easier. I only have a phone for calls and texts and keep getting asked when I am going to get a decent one but don't think I could cope with it plus I can be quite clumsy with them. What I can say is that Philip is on the case re my photos so hopefully.... :)
@Purplerain. The Owl and the Mouse. Sounds like another chapter for Annie with illustrations by Valley Gardener. There is nothing more annoying than not being able to find things you need to do a job. I have two forks and two trowels so if I can't find one I have another. I thought the nest would have been full of wasps and you would have had to clear them all out. Dead ones that is. Hope all your planting is ok when you look out tomorrow.
@islander. Love your cats. What a lovely area they have to roam around in. Can understand you love Bully the same as the others. Bet Sleeping Beauty is so grateful to you.

    Goodnight all.

Some pictures from @Fran IOM ,..who will explain the location and images when next she comes on line.

  • @Valley Gardener,..yes indeed the Fox can not get at them and they are plentiful here,..they still have danger from the odd Otter,..plus any big Pike will have a go at them,..the younger Pike ( Jack Pike ) will eat Frogs,..other fish as big as themselves and Ducklings.

That Rose ( Rosa 'Handel' ) is slightly scented,..it was the colouration that enticed me to keep it,..as for scented roses,..Rosa ( Rose 'Korresia' ) is so strongly scented i can get a good whiff of it in my Sitting Room even though its half way down the garden.

Is your new Delphinium very small or a big one?,..though it has plenty of time to grow tall and bloom before Autumn,..yikes seems weird mentioning Autumn as its so far away,..you also got a Lavender,..love the scent and the bloom though its a plant i don't have,...that's an awesome display of white blooms around the Bee House,..well made OH,..of course not forgetting ''Cush'',..beautiful fellow and well fed,..now its not hard to figure out why that is his favourite spot,..living in hope lol.

I have a container that wasn't in use and i filled it to just short of 15cm=6 ins from the top,..for the past three weeks ''Whisper'' has taken to sleeping in it,..she is a very sound sleeper and only gets out when it is raining heavily,..i can not see me managing to make use of that container for some time.

Digitalis 'Foxglove',..just a few of them in bloom,.. though not a full bloom as yet,..there will be ones short of 1 Metre=3 Ft and others well over 2 Metres=6 Ft,..just today i found myself looking up at some and as i am just short of 2 Metres tall=6 Ft you can imagine i was impressed at these tall Foxgloves.

    General view.

  • @AnniD,..i must slow down,.. as soon as i think of something at the back of the garden,..before i know it i am there,..there isn't any need for the rush but just to get one chore finished so i can start on the next,..if i were a child i would be classed as Hyper lol.

The grass in the meadows has grown taller in the past two days,..not that i noticed but it was Foxy Molly who drew my attention to it,..after walking for a few minutes she started walking behind me,..then after a spell she ran ahead only to wait for me then walked behind me again,..it hit me that it was the taller grass,..she was letting me make a path and so remained at my heels.

    Arrum Lily/Calla Lily Blooms.

    Last nights visitor.

  • @Purplerain,

@nultyphilip224 I enjoyed the video of the cats and that Clivia looks ready to burst into bloom. I am still having trouble with the Bengal cat. I have a stairway to the attic and heard a commotion up there, and she was causing trouble with one of my boys. She sneaks into the house at every opportunity. I managed to block up her entrance point at the back of the garden but she still finds her way in. She is a grey colour, I remember you asking me that ages ago. It's a pity you don't like your sons partner, but we can't get on with everyone and family dynamics can be fraught with problems. I just agree with everyone and that keeps me out of trouble lol.

Thank's for viewing the Cats Video,..they sure get into some human positions like arms around each other.

Your visiting Bengal Cat is dead set on getting into your house,..i remember you mentioned her owner collecting mail so that means the Bengal Cat was in residence in your house before you moved in,..i guess she still thinks its her territory,..does she attack your cats?,..that is the danger,..its reckoned that a cat attack may only last approx 12 seconds but untold damage done in that brief time,..you will have to out think her and block every way in.

Long before i made up my mind over my Sons OH,..she was asked by my Ex to look after her Cat while she was moving house from Ireland back to England,..she took on board the responsibility of taking the cat to her house in Dublin and was told under no circumstances to allow the cat out,..she let it out,..it didn't just escape,..lo and behold the cat must have tried to get Home to the house my Ex had sold,..that was on the west coast,.. where the cat was being minded is on the east coast,..they never saw the cat again,..not only was my Ex upset,..it got to me,.. wondering how the cat would survive and was it still trying to get to the west coast.

There are bridges like the two in the image below to enable walkers to cross the Canal and to cross wide drains along the nature walk.

More grazing Swans,..i counted over 30 today in this spot.

More of Rose ( Rosa 'Handel' ),..the blooms vary of course day by day as they mature.

    Allium,..fully opened.

The Crinodendron hookerianum 'Chilean Lantern Flower' at its best now.

While shopping on the side of the river opposite to where i live its interesting to see just where i now walk Foxy Molly.
