@AnniD,..great pictures of Mr B feeding and your garden looks very nice,.you have a healthy Mr B,..not like one that visits here sore eyes and loss of feathers,..mites i guess.
I had a look out to see were there any Hedgehogs feeding,..there was one,..a big adult,.. but by the time i took the camera battery out of the charger the Hog was heading off,..just managed a shot of his blind spot,..the rest of them will be back later.
@Valley Gardener,..quite a nice day here today and managed to give Foxy Molly an extra long walk to make up for missing out on the rainy day,..as we went from meadows to the river bank it was possible for Foxy Molly to have a paddle,..she did so at several spots until she ran into what she presumed was shallow water,..not so it was about a Metre deep,..she went under but surfaced very quickly and her little feet went like pistons trying to get to the bank,..luckily she did as i would have to go in after her which wouldn't bother me being a strong swimmer.
So you have rain again,..frustrating,..now that you are eager to get things up to date after your illness the rain preventing your progress is a curse.
I can well understand you going out in the rain to fill the bird feeders rather than have them be empty for the birds in the morning,..i tend to that as well,..every evening even if its raining,..mark you not in my slippers lol.
@Fran IOM,..sorry you also had rain,..lovely day here though after the long walk with Foxy Molly i had to go to the Doctor for a prescription i ordered last Tuesday,..you have to give 48 hours notice that you want a prescription,..well the receptionist remembered having it,..though she couldn't find it,..so had to get the Doctor to make out another,..but woe again,..when i got to the chemist i realised i only had one page of prescription instead of three,..sorted that out then the chemist didn't have all my order so its back there again when they order them,...grrrrrrr.
Ah yes i have @AnniD to thank for making me repair the chicks neck lol,..i am watching where i point the camera in the future,..like reflections in mirrors lol.
Interesting that you read the series of Clan of The Cave Bear,..i was lucky that there was a second hand book store here in town back in 1994 and that's when i first came across the first book,..i was hooked then and had to join the Library to get the other four books all very enjoyable books i must say.
I had a Red Robin but back in 2012 i got rid of it as it was taking up too much room,..my kittens then used to climb up it and i wouldn't see them as they were well blended in with the colour,..mine never flowered but it did have beautiful red leaves.
Just managed a parting shot of one of the adult hogs.
@Purplerain,..yep very cold these mornings,..so one wonders will it get warmer to get out in the garden,..managed some time plodding around but really nothing left to do except wait for a few seedlings to get bigger before starting more work,..i managed to make space by getting rid of lots of Ferns.

Good morning everyone. It's looking promising here and the weather forecast is on the up, although still around 3 degrees at night.
@nultyphilip224 you got some lovely photos yesterday. It's nice to see Whisper putting in an appearance and the Hostas are looking good. Today, I am going to keep busy potting up Tumbling Toms to their final position, along with more Parsley ( the drowned in fish water parsley has perked up). I hope it doesn't taste of fish. I am going to take a punt at planting out some lettuce and radish too. If they don't like it I can sow more. I will hold back on the Runner Beans although the Alderman Peas are clambering up and don't seem bothered by colder nights.
@AnniD I love Mr B! He is a handsome chap and the view from your window is lovely. I can see so much promise in things to come in your garden.
@Valley Gardener It's lovely that the tadpoles are surviving. I hope you can get a photo for us. Maybe you can get the bedding out soon. I have everything outside today but I am still not trusting temperatures for bedding at night.
@Fran IOM Fish is as big as he is going to get. I believe they grow to the size that is comfortable for them in their tank and he has stayed the same for years. I hope your weather improves and that you can get on with gardening at the allotment.
Right, that's me off to get going in the garden at last. I love sunshine! Have a good day all.
Good Morning all. Still very wet but forecast promises a sunny afternoon followed by some much better weather. Should be a good weekend. @nultyphilip224. What a performance with your prescription. If it's a repeat prescription Boots are very good as it can be sent to them and when it is ready they text you or you can send a stamped addressed envelope direct to the surgery. Used to love the secondhand bookshops but don't think you would find them anymore. Sometimes find something in a charity shop. I can imagine the Red Robin taking up a lot of room. Would love to see one in flower. That little ginger kitten is well camouflaged. Some lovely clear photos of the hedgehogs. Whisper looks so content. Do you know how old she is? Good job Foxy Molly was able to get out of the water on her own. When we had our border collie she used to love the beach and ran down the steps not knowing the tide was in and fell straight in. OH had to jump in after her and what a sorry mess they were in when they got home.
Hope everyone has had a good start to the day with some fine weather.
Good morning everyone . Weather much improved today, hopefully l can catch up a bit. Have now done second supermarket visit so all done. MIL had cataract op. yesterday, seems to have gone okay. @nultyphilip224 you have my sympathy when it comes to prescriptions. OH sorts out his parents' and it confuses the heck out of me. I'm lucky in that my dad sorts out his and my mum's , he always has long conversations with OH about the vagaries of sorting things out. Glad Foxy Molly got her walk yesterday and managed to fish herself out of the water. Love the photo of the kitten ! @Valley Gardener you will be pleased to know that l went to The Range and got all the begonias. Not only were they a good price, but we also saved £1 as they had an offer on. I was very good and didn't buy anything for myself. . Hope you are continuing to improve and are getting out into the garden, if only to supervise . @Purplerain, Mr B is a handsome one, isn't he ? He was there again this morning waiting for breakfast, as Fran said, he has me very well trained indeed. @Fran IOM hopefully you can get out as soon as the weather picks up, fingers crossed. We had several hoggy visits again last night, and only one incident of ASBO behaviour that was very quick, one quick "biff" in the restaurant and that was it. One turned up very late, about 5.40am, l will see if l can post a picture. Have a good day everyone
