@Purplerain,..i just missed out on seeing your post this morning,..i had answered @Fran IOM and her early post,..you must have posted around the same time.
Yes i thought it odd over the 'Wolfhounds' but let it pass,..its like when listening to someone make a statement and its easier to let it be rather than go into a long explanation of why their statement and misunderstanding is wrong,..a prominent politician stated on TV that they hoped to build bridges between one area and another,..i noticed the puzzled expression on one person,..then that person said,..what would that politician know about building bridges,..you really have to let it pass lol.
You made me think about Rooting Powder and Rooting Gel,..somewhere along the line i changed from not using anything to enhance rooting,.. to using the Powder or Gel,..i don't remember why i changed over or was it more successful,..i must have a go at not using anything
Heuchera 'Melting Fire' and 'Palace Purple',..looking well drenched.
@AnniD,..its not my spelling that's bad,..i hit a 't' instead of a 'y' when Foxy Molly was supposed to be saying ' you say its too wet to go for walkies,..yea i believe you',..i noticed it after the time to edit was up grrrrrrrr,.. i was in a Forum where you could edit even a year or more after posting and it was great as sometimes a video or link posted becomes dead or the video removed from Vimeo or YouTube or elsewhere.
Your Herbs being nibbled may be those very small snails,..so small one would hardly know they were snails they look more like a small pebble.
So no sign of Mouse,..i would be more worried about it than Hedgehog,..you seem to have another Hedgehog visiting,..it will be interesting to see will it stay around and the reaction of your resident Hedgehog,..not a good sign that the skinny one didn't eat,..i hope it goes for the contents of the Dog Food Tin,..i never thought to leave out the Meaty Type,..must try some out,..i started with the Nuts so i would hear the crunching lol.
Ohhhhhhhh waking up in the middle of the night with a Hedgehog and Mouse story going through your head,..very interesting,..so i am not the only one to have things like that going through my head.
Hedgehog on last nights visit,..though there was a visit about 02.30 hard to know was it the same one or one of the others,..marking them No 1.2.3. and 4,..might take up a long time and its not something they would appreciate lol.
One might wonder why the stone on top of a saucer on the watering can,..that water contains liquid fertiliser,..'Whisper' has being spotted drinking from the can in the past.
Good morning everyone Early night last night, so wide awake at 5.30 am 🙄 Lovely OH has got up and made the tea, so thought l'd catch up. @nultyphilip224 , l know what you mean about the editing, l sometimes come back to a post and wish l could change or add to it rather than start another one. I suppose there has to ba a cut off point somewhere though. I wondered about the saucer on the watering can, you need eyes in the back of your head sometimes! Hedgehog turned up early last night, before 9pm, so it was still quite light. He has a brand new restaurant as the old one virtually disintegrated, so it was a bit easier to see him. In real life, as it were, he looked quite small, so when l check the camera later l will see if l can work out whether there are two hogs. However many, the dish has been licked clean! @Fran IOM the SGC email has arrived! I confess that I looked at the website but that's all. After my confession on the plant buying thread, l realised that there was another order l had forgotten about, some salvias. Oops! I'm fairly sure that's all though....... Hope @Valley Gardener and @Purplerain have a good day. I will probably be asleep by midday...
@nultyphilip224 I love that sweet tea heuchera in the turquoise pot, but then I love all your heucheras. I wonder if Fran has that one, and if she hasn't will she get one?
It was interesting when you said that you were pleased that you are not the only one who invents things in your head like Anni. I do too and at the moment I am playing out a very annoyed conversation that will never happen with the old gentleman I pick up and take home from the discussion group once a month. I turned down a trip to an owl sanctuary yesterday to honour my commitment to him and we had no sooner got there when he phoned a taxi to go home as there were no men at it yesterday. He left without any thanks or explanation to me 🤨. Grrrr lol.
@Fran IOM surprise! We got in before you this morning. Are you still struggling with your Fatsia and Russian Vine? I would imagine they are tough to get out. Is there anyone who could help you? On the subject of photographs, I click on the square with the mountain and get an option to use photo gallery then pick the one I want. That is on an ipad though so I don't know what others do. So, you haven't been tempted by the SGC. Neither have I, but have been informed that a delivery of lavender plugs are on their way 😀.
@AnniD I noticed you were up early. Maybe it's the change of season, as I am up and around at the same time. I always tell myself that I will go back to bed, but I never do.
I was also wondering if you have more than one hedgehog. When you said the skinny one had ID how does that work? Is it a ring or something? I hope your salvias arrive safely. I like them but they seem to vanish in my garden.
@Valley Gardener I hope you are feeling better and you will let us know of your progress when you are up to it.
It looks promising here. Not sunny, but dry and warm, so once I have another coffee I will get out and see what I fancy tackling in the garden today. Enjoy your day everyone.
@Purplerain l have checked the camera this morning and it would appear that it is two different hogs! Some people mark hedgehogs using a water based paint in order to identify them using circles, squares etc. It is a very contentious issue as you can read here, if you've a mind to https://www.hedgehogstreet.org/forums/topic/marking-hedgehogs/ The one hog has a black circle on his back, whereas Hedgehog has no markings that l can see. I'm sure the second hog was around last year. My local rescues do mark their hogs using the tiniest dabs (never red, it could be mistaken for blood), which is understandable as they don't want any mixup to occur as the hedgehogs are on different medications etc. Such a shame you missed the visit to the owl sanctuary and for such an ungrateful person. I love owls, sometimes l hear one hooting in the trees at the back of us, and have seen it very occasionally. Anyway, time to get on with the plant delivery and a visit to the GC on the way home😉

Just a guess but Google it to see the similarity.
