This afternoon I cleared MORE blanket weed from the large pond.  No doubt I will be doing it again this time next week!
In the morning I planted some lovely red flowered pelagoniums in our driveway - they do look good among the green daffodil leaves.
I got some Aqua Source stuff for blanket weed and it has worked a treat.

Volunteer day at Capel today, there is Pine tree in the Japanese garden that has been looking a bit pale & wan for a while  so we stripped back the ground cover, & guess what dry as dust underneath, left a hose on it for over an hour, for the first 20 mins all the water was disappearing down a hole by one of the roots! We dressed it with sulphate of iron,  then back filled with composted bark and replaced the ground cover (leptonella). Lot of work but hopefully it will pay off.

I sowed more courgette seeds - late but they (small plants) are proving to be very popular on my gate stall. Also potted up some aquilegia seedlings and planted out Jacob's Ladder plant.  Did some watering earlier on.  Will do more watering this evening. Topped up small pond.

I did a stint at 'my' school garden. Took down several pots of gone over daffs I don't need and planted these as well as a corkscrew grass, primroses and pulmonaria. Moved a small euronymus which was getting swamped and pruned a box cone. 4 bags of weeds later I had to give up as everything ached!  Hoping to do some more regular stints soon, weather and time permitting. Surprised to see some Alliums out already but mine here are not.

Very heavy showers yesterday, so went around "unflattening " the soil with a fork, much to the enjoyment of a Robin. Planted armeria l bought yesterday,  still have to find room for 7 more ! Put fleece over bedding plants in coldframes and shut them up. Different forecasters are telling me different things with regard to the overnight temperatures for the next few nights, so l'm not taking any chances !
Bought 3 packs of 12 violas for 75p each at Homebase yesterday, potted them up into a couple of pots and a window box.
Potted on climbing beans, have left tomatoes for a few more days.

Been to the allotment over the last few days, doing all sorts of things, have the start of my first truss on my early sown tomato's in the poly tunnel, was going to sow french beans outside today but forecast is cold so put that off for a few more days.
Everything is just going along nicely at the moment.

Finally got to re-rotavate the 1/2 plot today, I did it in March but ground was a bit too wet so there were lots of lumps & bumps. Now it's broken down more  then started to put up the Brassica cage until rain stopped play. Looking around  at other plots can't believe how behind I have got just because I was busy with family things over Easter.
@Hampshire_Hog tomato truss already mine are still seedlings barely potted on :/
