Potted on some begonias, but it was a bit cold out there so I came in and checked what plants I had in the greenhouse and what I'd need for the pots.  Thought I had far too many but when it came down to it I'd judged it quite well.

Managed to sort out the compost bins but that was about it. Heavy rain Hail then more rain and hail the another lot of the same so gave up. Sky is black again so more to come me thinks. In doors now in the warm.

My sister and I started tackling Dad’s back garden. He is not really up to bending and stretching these days so we pruned, weeded and refreshed the pots. It will need a few more visits befor it’s looking ship-shape. Bit sad as our Mum kept an immaculate little garden.
At home, potted on some sunflowers and started planning the vegetable pot plot
    (a-pot-ment).

Haven't done anything in the garden for a few days because of the weather, just keeping an eye on plants in the greenhouse. Waiting for the end of this month to plant things out and the wallflowers to finish so that i can plant out the  pot marigolds.

Yesterday went to a wyevale as national gardening week and got a free tomato plant gardeners delight with the voucher email, it is a bit bigger than my tomato plants as I sowed late good to get a freebie just for having a wyevale card - the stores around me will be changing to Dobbies in June
Really like the planters they had painted

Done some gardening after lots of fence panel dismantling - well filled the garden waste bin with some ivy off fences and some pampus grass after uncovering it from the fence panels
This is last year  - before picture, after a lot of leaning things against, :# so big

Some of it a bit before when getting fences up so much I had to saw though - tough plant

This is the pampus grass left - big clump bit has bee nest in it, what a lot of space it took up good 2m by 2m or more this will be the seating area - just a small bit more tillering to do

That looked like a brute Gardengirl, well done, and nice of you to leave the bees nest.

It was a bit too unpleasantly windy yesterday for any prolonged pottering. It had sleeted overnight and frozen in places, wind was biting. Hoping for better today, want to sit outside amongst my bugs and flowers.

Managed to secure a flailing arm of rose Golden Gate without incurring any damage or damaging anything in the border below. Got nettle stung pulling bindweed out the hedge though, too lazy to get my gloves.

Measured an area to move my bench to make a new secluded seating area. I'll require an orange climbing rose though and also to move the existing plants so it can be a winter project.

I've been planting up containers this morning now that the bulbs have gone over.  Lugging bags of compost and containers has to be done in small doses.  7 completed so far.

Just put 4 trays of different lettuce in and some white radish, Turnips also some Teddy Bear Sunflowers seeds and Chrysanthemums sunset seeds. Watched how the chap on Gardeners World sowed his seeds by watering first then sowing and covering after much easier.

I thought that, Dee, as well. I'm going to try watering first in the drill before I sow my carrots and salad leaves - much easier. Only gardening I've done today is to take the fleece off the strawberries and clematis - got the children and g/c for 2 days.
