No gardening, unless you count moving various pots and trays into more sheltered locations. I really hope the forecast for tomorrow is correct as l have so much to do ! Glos.

In the face of the strong winds, I had to tie a bit of string around my lone Aquilegia and anchored it to a bit of fence.
  • I've spent most of the day in the greenhouse, potting on seedlings and planting pelargoniums into pots that will go at the front of the house in May.

There was a break in the rain - the sun even surprised us by making an appearance - so I managed to get just enough time to lay out a border that we cleared out a couple of months ago. I'm hoping to get the plants into the ground on Monday.

There's sleet falling now so I've stopped for the day...but I'm pleased with what I've managed to do on this wet and rather cold day. (West coast of Scotland)

Yesterday lots of digging veg beds in garden adding horse manure and planting potatoes in one started taking apart old fence panel will make great fire wood, watched the great tit in and out of bird house
Today done lots of digging up grit soil from a volunteer garden to remove we took to allotment and put into pot holes in roads as really was not nice going alone the road, really windy out my plot weed matting blowing around and now has frayed.
Then went and collected a free bench and planter today just to tidy up and mend

Not done anything apart from water the seedlings, due to inclement weather (and I have  ‘homework’ to do).

Potted on 4 dahlias "Braveheart". Checked over clematis, no damage as far as l could see , and tied in where necessary.Cut back dead branch of ceanothus and laid a couple of stepping stones in the flower bed. Tomato seeds are up, and climbing beans are starting to appear. Dug out dead plant (no idea what it was,it's been there so long), and replaced with a couple of dianthus. Also planted Gaura and Helianthemum.

Had a look around and saw my alliums are breaking bud already!
Been digging trenches for sleepers and discovered an old half rotten 8 foot long sleeper and two 8 ft sections of angle iron... they are now at the tip! Been threatening and forecast for heavy rain but it didn’t arrive sadly! Also made the decision to relocate the veg garden... mixed blessings but a positive move on the whole!

Had brother in law visiting today we did take a trip to the allotment and I pulled out a handful of weeds if that counts?
Then it was time for a leisurely lunch and a stroll along the beach🥩🍷🍷🍷😊😊
