Only a couple of light showers here today and sunny and mild here now. We managed to remove a potted Olive tree that has never given us any fruit this morning, preparing to plant a climbing rose in the pot another day. I also potted up some tulip and narcissus bulbs in a smaller pot on the back patio which should give a nice splash of colour in the new year.. Heavy work so I was glad of some help.
We have an olive bush as well which had some tiny fruits on it so I was very hopeful after the hot weather we had back in the summer. Apparently though the fruit have to go through a special process (can't now remember what) which you can't do in a domestic set up. Perhaps @Obelixx knows more?
I should have said - Olive tree has given us no fruit worth getting excited about. Always too hard, too green or just not mature enough to even think about saving - even the birds don't like the olives! Thanks GWRS, Lizzie and Dove for the link.
