  • Very late spring here in Calgary Canada, a dusting of snow this morning. Heaters on in GH, potting up Petunias, Begonias, a flat of glad bulbs and waiting for warm days next week.

Finished planting the delivery i got earlier in the week & started digging out the beds in the terraces going down to the decking.

Was about to sow some seeds with the kids but got myself thoroughly confused with the instructions, lost confidence and put it all away! 😵
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

Bit nippy today, just as some new plants arrived, so I planted out a Clotted Cream jasmine and a new bare rooted Munstead Wood, before heading back indoors for some tea.

@Lizzie27 and @GWRS this is the bread I made with no yeast and using SR flour, milk and melted butter, no sugar - turned out nice and large loaf tin -   click on printable recipe to jump to recipe when click on link - gives you different options of ingredients to use

Bit of sawing for me planks of wood for front of compost bin at plot

Great to see that you are all keeping busy.
I have sown all my ‘free’ seeds from a gardening magazine I receive from my bank. Helianthus ‘choco sun’ (a dwarf variety), Silene ‘pink pirouette’ and Diascia ‘apricot queen’. 🤞

Turned 2 bins of compost mixing in grass cuttings and cardboard. Sowed basil, carrots, radish and peas. Repotted tomato plants they look very healthy (I'm no expert mind). Planted out a Musa basjoo.

Turfed everything out of the green house to sheltered area as we are having such hot days here.

Tried and failed to get my petrol multi tool working, it's the 3rd unit I've had and wonted be accepting a replacement this time.

Sat and had dinner (that's lunch to southerners) in glorious sunshine, wish we had some rain 🤣

I think we are similar in Wales that ‘dinner’ is the midday meal and ‘tea’ is the evening one. ‘Lunch’ and ‘supper’ is the more middle-class alternative here.

@AuntyRach it's like Peter Kay says "we never had bloody lunch ladies no it's dinner ladies" anyway that's me done for being all Yorkshire.
