OH brought wooden planter round from doorstep for me to tackle. Took out the calibrachoa that had flowered themselves  to a standstill.  It had 3 euyonemous type plants that had been nibbled by something and l was expecting the dreaded vine weevil, but when l managed to get them out l discovered the culprits were snails. One caught right in the act.🐌
Planter is beginning to fall apart so OH took it into the garage to begin his Repair Shop impersonation.
Also managed to extract a salvia "Midnght" from a pot. Took some Irishman's cuttings and potted them up. Managed to reduce the rootball and was planning on planting it out until rain (not forecast) stopped play.

@GWRS , hope you are having a lovely time in Tenby.  Have an ice cream for me 🍦.

I have cut back some ivy today as there is a section of fence I want to grow some other things up.

A new planter to plant up sounds fun, @AnniD . Are you going to make it up for the autumn/winter?

Discovered this fuchsia, apparently in bloom for some time, hidden in a bed of lobelia. What a beauty. I planted it in June or July and forgot about it.

@sarinka a bit later on l will plant it up with tulips, then put a couple of the euonymus back with some winter flowering pansies or violas.  :)

We had rain this afternoon (which wasn't forecasted either) so I only managed to nip out and cover over the raised veg bed with cardboard I'd hoarded. OH had dug out the last of the potatoes and I didn't want the local cats to have a field day in there.

Digging out base for clubhouse, used the soil to make a raised bed...but had to pick through all the weeds and tubers.  I suspect Ive just transferred a load of weeds to the front garden but at least it was packed with all sorts of worms :)

Probaly going to load up with daff bulbs, cyclamen, laurel and lavender after Ive trimmed back the overhanging cotoneaster.

Finished clearing ground for clubhouse, put down weed membrane, placed bricks and laid base on top in line.

Been trimming hedges at Mum-in-law’s today.
She has surprised me with ordering me a polytunnel/greenhouse for all my cuttings (and seeds and veg). I have been measuring-up and planning. Very excited! It is a thank you gift from her for helping her during lockdown with shopping and caring for Dad-in-law.

My garden and I live in South Wales.
