Planted of some snowdrops that my dad had got from Sarah Raven for half price. They were definitely the worse for wear but I planted them, let's see what happens!

Then put my Aldi growhouses together and tied them down to anything I could put a screw in! 😀

I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

Watered in some left over granular feed for acid loving plants around the garden. Put a bag of H.sand around raspberries and asparagus, hoping the rain will wash it in eventually and improve the soil condition for them. Manured 5 roses and potted up some split perennials I dug up on Thursday.  Chatted to friends from our gardening club we met accidentally.

Really getting bored of the constant clearing of general trash from our garden. Previous owner was a bit of a junk hoarder, never threw away any scarp of wood or broken breeze block. We are on our third skip, even with reusing as much wood as we can for our own projects.

Today we did a few trips to the skip (down three levels of houses to the road level) moved lots of decking boards down to the area I can paint them in for our raised beds this week, fitted sparrow terrace bird boxes, began building wood platforms for hiding some Gabions and creating terraces for pots, setup our new water butt and checked over various plug plants in the front garden! Phew!

More path clearing, I couldn’t face finishing the job so still some ripped weed sticking through.

Bought some pots and flowers nosing around Homebase and B&Q

Then as I was digging up a new bed I ‘discovered’ it’s rich, crumbly soil like you see on TV.  Ive dug around there before so I don’t know why I’m just
noticing now but it must be easily the richest soil I have and I’ve been neglecting this corner at the back for years!  I do have hops growing here and out in a couple of hydrangea...but now I’m dreaming of healthy plants that grow 😅

Every time I stuck a spade in I seem to be halving a worm, there were so many 😭

Compare that to the wasteland in the front and the clay my grass sits on top of...

Rain did not inspire me to do anything today. I have two long weekends coming up so will catch-up then.

Cut back a bit of hawthorn. Dead headed some daffodils ( 33 to be precise 😄) , then went out and bought two trays of Apatchi spring onions, a peardrop tomato and a tigerella tomato from our little local GC in Anwick.  That's enough I'm fast running out of room.😆

I mulched all my roses, soft fruit and the main flower bed. Now shattered.

:) Hello @Lizzie27 I’m in Radstock just near bath

today was a busy busy one, moved 1 ton of compost, painted multiple planters, planted up the shady alpine living roof on top of our new bin store, finished making some platforms for over the top of gabions and built another log habitat area! Phew!
