  • Yes! And the sun shone, and sheltered from the wind in felt quite barmy.

Planted a couple of clematis, general tidy around, some seed sowing. Feel optimistic for the season ahead.

And the beautiful little pseudonarcissus on the shady side of the garden are just coming into bloom.

Got quite a lot done.  Lawns mowed and edged, a couple of clems and a climbing rose tied in,  a patch of Crocosmia Lucifer dug up and replaced with blue lupins.  Rounded of the day by sowing a few trays of seeds.  I have quite a few lupins and delphiniums to find homes for think a few more things might have to go.

I've taken all the bark up off my greenhouse floor and moved it to my new bed then barrowed back & forth to my Mum's to fetch the stone which is now in my greenhouse then we (me and my 11 year old) started work on my daughter's corner which will be slabbed so needs to be raised first. She's learning to use a hammer here 😃

Busy day in the garden that started very very early under flood lights. Cleared the last big perennial bed (Japanese anemonies are spreading like wild fire) raked the bed with the rubber rake to clear all the leaves and mess. Added another 4 x2 timber to the back of the perennial beds to stop the blackbirds throwing loads of mulch onto the beds. Extended the bed in the dry garden (this is the third time since autumn I've done this 🤣), it's ready for a load of iris's now. Planted out 2 rows of peas for pea shoots. Removed the beetroot and spring onions from the heated propogater. Planted out about 400 wild flower plug plants in amongst the daffs in the meadow area (wild carrot, birds foot trefoil, cornflowers, knapweed and poppies). Drank loads of coffee, cooked a huge pork shoulder in the pizza oven and rejoiced in the glorious sunshine 🌞🌞

Weeded out loads of dandelions from the beds (got a new wolf garten weeding tools that's brilliant), cleared all the apple tree prunings.

Today's disaster was 2 rows of radish and a row of land cress that's been destroyed by the neighbours cats, couldn't figure out what had happened and managed to grab a handful of cat turds 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬😠😠😠😠. I'm so peeved with this. Anyway I've started to fightback managed to spray the cats with the hose 5 or 6 times tonight. Neighbours aren't happy and came round shouting and yelling I politely asked them to leave. Maybe I should buy a great dog and drop it over there wall every day to use there garden as toilet.

I have found the cat watch ultrasonic device is effective.  @Wilderbeast
We had a cat pooping in the middle of our lawn.  It's stopped now.
