Have been rubbing down & staining an old garden bench , nearly finished

Noticed the lawns are starting to go brown around the edges
  • Had a rest day from gardening.
Removed the side shoots from the tomatoes. Made a batch of Melting Moment biscuits.. Had no cornflour so used custard powder instead. Now have strange pale orange coloured biscuits, but they taste fine.

Thinned out a bit of bamboo, sat down in the shade cos it's really muggy today. We had about 104 drops of rain and a hint of thunder, but sadly not a lovely big storm.

Not up to much so just walked with my friend who'd come for coffee and cake round the garden to admire the roses. Later I just cut back the teucrium from the steps edge so that my landscaper chappie can see where to put the new handrail I need.

OH cut the grass and I finished cutting back a massive Rhododendron. Potted-on pumpkins and a pelargonium but that was about it. Very humid today so it was a cuppas in the shade sort of day.
My garden and I live in South Wales.

I was going to mow the back lawn, but our friends have put a tent on it for the night. 😄
It might collect a bit of moisture for the grass though!

Here you go, @GWRS . Nice colour btw. Looks very friendly and inviting. When I had to choose a new colour this year, I noticed that the manufacturers outbid each other with the most cold and colourless colours and cold grey in all shades.

    I my garden.
