Splitting snowdrops, lots of them and planting them in the grass verge down the lane. Rain forecast so that'll do nicely to water them in.

Got a bit of a cold, had 4 hours sleep, spent an hour or so not getting back to sleep and planning bits of my next project, which would be perfect to do in such gorgeous weather, but I can't start digging because I feel like crap. 😭

I know just how you feel like @Slow-worm, I've now had a cold for over a fortnight sorry to say and still suffering with a blocked nose and not much energy. Hope yours doesn't last as long.

We do have lovely warm sunshine again today so got out and almost finished weeding the main big border, lots of germ urbanum and love in the mist seedlings. Nearly got marooned in the middle as there is not much room between plants to turn round on hands and knees. Looks like I may have lost some penstemons/salvias over the winter which is a shame.

  • Look after yourself, @Slow-worm. And don't do garden planning at 2am, guaranteed to keep you awake. Although some of the best ideas can come in the middle of the night, can't they?

    Thanks Lizzie and Liz.
I was working till 4am, and I was glad to get home I can tell ya!
Arthur Itis is here today too, and he was not invited!
Totally agree though Liz, best ideas appear when you can't act on them immediately - that's no bad thing considering some of the ideas I've had! 🤣

Zinc and vitamins C & D works for me @Lizzie27, and plenty of lemon. 👍

Arther Itis is visiting me too Slow-worm.  I wish he'd b***er off.  Despite the back pain I have managed to finish off sorting the borders out and gave the lawns the first cut.  Wanted to get things sorted before the weather changes.  I'll probably suffer for it tomorrow though.

Oh no @Yviestevie, I hope you don't suffer too much, although it'd be worth it! I can't do lawn mowing as my arthritis is in my hands, and my OH, who hates gardening, isn't up to it at the moment either - it's been totally dry here for weeks, so if I plan a mow it'll rain that day. 😄

My back is the worst Slow-worm but I also have it in my thumb, wrist, knee and shoulder.  I still count myself lucky as my sister has rheumatoid arthritis and that is so much worse.

    Oh god, poor sis. 😢
I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
