  • Planted out some well hardened off sweet peas in a sheltered position  and also half a dozen Penstemon  cuttings. Surprisingly  had to water some of the smaller pots which  had dried out. Thinking about hardening off my tomato  seedlings  in my little  grow house with extra fleece protection.

Went and bought some more manure and compost. Planted the rest of my Charlotte spuds. Moved all the turf I removed over the weekend. And that’s about it today. Need to sort the main crop spuds out this week. I had to water too! Must get my pea supports in as I haven’t got round to it and they are already a good 7 inches high, they are short ones though so no big deal! 😁

I had to take it easy today so just planted two peachy coloured heucheras near the others and under a spirerea 'Goldflame', which is not showing any signs of life yet  and I will be gutted if it's died on me and ruins my colour scheme! I also moved some delphiniums from one bed to another to see if the better conditions would encourage them to flower better.

@Lizzie27. Sounds like your heucheras are the same as one I have which surprisingly has a label. Peach Flambe. My favourite coloured one. Been moving heucheras most of the afternoon and feel I have far too many but do like them. Before joining the forum I didn't even know what they were called. Also did a lot of weeding finding plants hidden under some which have grown too big.

I love that one too @Fran IOM . I also have 'Fire Chief, 'Cherry Cola' and 'Caramel' in that colour spectrum ( amongst others in different colours).
I find that every time I go to a GC to get more of the same, the names are different so I've ended up with a selection. I've also got a Heucherella 'Firestone Falls' which is stunning (spreads along the ground) but I've never found it again.

Well that's me done (back, arms) moved 1 ton of top soil from front to bottom of back garden, can hardly feel my hands now.

I feel your pain, Purpeallim, I moved about 3 cubic metres of compost. The tardis is now full of stuff on its third turning, looking ready to use. The Rotol looks a bit behind it. Two daleks are empty waiting to be filled, but I have filled up a builders bag with the winters kitchen scraps, yeasterdays lawn mowing, and some from last year that had not been turned after first heat up. All mixed up together like a xmas pudding.
Today, I have just sown kalettes, afro kale and cavolo de nero in plug trays  in the polytunnel.  The sweet peas are about an inch high.
The lawn looks a lot better, but OH does that, I just make the compost bin mix.

I've had to water the pots too.  Edged the front lawn and weeded the borders.  Noticed that the frogspawn had hatched, lots of liitle tadpoles swimming about.

Put in all Red onion sets and covered in cloche until they root to stop the pigeons pulling them out also planted out broad beans, sown parsnips in card tubes they are now in the propagator @ 21°, watered some of the pots that were looking dry, dug over and created more seed bed space.
Lots more seeds to sow and pricking out to do  :)
