Spent all day weeding the big bed. Poor hubby did his best last year, but he isn't a gardener so was wary of pulling up too much and getting one of the plants, so the things seeded and now we have a bin full.🤦‍♀️
Had to wait until the tulips were done, and we could get into the bed, now there are big spaces because some things didn't survive the winter. I have some plants to put in, but will have to get more. At least this is the last bed, which just leaves the paths around the veg area.🥵

Just feeding the Toms and French Beans today.

The Little Gem are growing nicely, will have to decide where to plant them some time soon, I'm toying with the idea of one of those raised beds on legs as suggested by @Fairygirl though my Ninja trained slugs might just prevaile.

    Spud watering saved for tomorrow.

Lovely photos @Sheps your tomatoes are way ahead of mine, you’ve got flowers already!

That's the joy of having a greenhouse @CatDouch most of mine have flowers and the first ones have dropped and tiny toms can be seen, but this is on the Sunchocola cherry which is always the first.

Thanks @CatDouch I have lots of little toms too, though I'm experiencing some blossom drop which is quite unexpected at this early stage.

@purplerallim I’ve got a greenhouse too but mine are way behind @Sheps and yours by the sound of it 🙈 I grew mine from seed and they definitively took longer this year with the cold spring.  Hopefully they’ll catch up 🤞

Mine were Garden Centre bought @CatDouch hence the size, gives a great head start over growing from seed but, there is just an overwhelming lack of variety on offer, unlike growing from seed.

Mine started in the conservatory as seed in March @CatDouch and were potted on twice before going in the greenhouse mid May. I know some people start seed in the greenhouse,  but unless you have constantly above 10° , which means heating, they will be slower to get started, if they germinate.

I haven’t got a conservatory @purplerallim and not many suitable window sills in the house to put them on.  They all germinated in the greenhouse, in the end, but were definitely slower getting going than last year, fingers crossed they’ll catch up as they look nice and strong at the moment.

I found my leather gauntlets and decided to prune the Mahonia and Berberis.  Tomorrow I’ll attack the Pyracantha that is annoying my neighbour (she’s very nice about it !)
