My sympathies with anyone with stomach problems, they do seem to take over your life.

Going back to the thread title, I have indeed done some gardening today, busy tidying up generally, planting various cuttings and seedlings that do seem to accumulate by the end of the summer. I also weeded two of the back garden beds, divided and planted some lime green heucheras and then had to dashed back indoors when heavy rain threatened - needless to say, by the time I'd divested myself of gardening gear, it passed over.!
North East Somerset - Clay soil over limestone
  • The only thing I've done today is turn 8lbs of tomatoes into sauce/soup.🙂
  • I missed out on a lovely gardening day. Picked a few tomatoes and gave them a watering. A storm is on its way so not much hope of being outside today.

I must stay calm, I must not be frustrated, I must stay calm etc. etc.
The visit to see the endocrinology consultant resulted in a lovely chat with a lovely man, to inform me he wanted to put a face to my name and have a chat about my general health. It is going to be another month before the test results come back from Manchester and he is going to discuss my scan results with another colleague.
Lovely to meet me and best wishes resolving the stomach problem!
I cannot decide if I am relieved or annoyed.

The experiment with my dehumidifier has been mixed. The dried apple slices are now in a storage jar, and the tomatoes have needed 3 sessions of 5 hr. drying, not sure it is worth the effort. I will definitely dry some more apples as the variety I have does not keep for long, unfortunately.
  • Did try Actimel a while ago, but as I'm lactose intolerant now they are not for me.

Try kefir , I make mine with oat milk. Works great , really helps my gut problems

Kefir grains are available on amazon , I kept trying different oat milks till I found one that doesn't split

I was up early today to get a couple of hours work done in the garden before the storm and before work. I've cleared out both greenhouses, cut down all the tomatoes and set up the staging for over-wintering plants. I'm not a morning person but I enjoyed being up and about today. Confusingly it's getting darker as the day goes on though.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

I have been taking kafir since my problem reared its ugly head. No idea if it helps but I am trying to help myself.

Lawn mowed yesterday. Today I am deadheading and cleaning pots. I've also washed out and refilled the bird feeders

I really want to dig out my new island bed, but it rained overnight and the ground is now too wet. It's north facing so will take ages to dry now 😭 I am itching to get bulbs planted, but must be patient.  Crocus are already in, but I am waiting to do tulips and alliums.
Slowly building a wildlife garden, in a new build in East Yorkshire.
  • It a nice thought @samgriffiths340-CMoNrTr but I am reactive to fibre and whole grains too, I know I have to be difficult 🙄
