Sunshine and rain today, quite windy too. Yesterday we started with sun, by lunchtime it was cold and sleeting, such a difference to saturdays shorts and t-shirt day! No gardening for me but hoping to catch up weather permitting tomorrow 😀
  • No good for gardening here either, heavy rain showers and very little sunshine.  However in a little period of sun I nipped outside to take a few photos, feed the birds, check on the two tortoises (both very sensibly asleep in their houses) and tie some flapping clematis shoots.
I also sowed the first castor oil beans.  I don't think they will be impressed with the cool weather and lack of sunshine, at least I have over 50 of the beans so plenty to spare in case I need to resow in a week or two.

@Rubytoo with great difficulty. 😉 greenhouse comes on the 16 this month. It’s felt like months. Will post when it’s up.  Still weekend soon so lots more gardening. Night all

Noticed a clematis with some buds looking floppy. Closer inspection this morning, broken stems from windy weather. I thought I had tied that one in nicely, obviously not. Though two wood pigeons had been fighting and flapping about nearby the last few days. They had hopped all over my little newly planted troughs as well so Pigeon pie could be on the menu.

Pam perhaps some Nytol rather than Night all....sorry I'll get me coat....
  • We tried to do some gardening, but apart from tying a swaying echium to it's post, dead heading daffs and feeding the birds the rain and wind has forced us inside for the second day.  I am champing at the bit - I have a whole list of gardening jobs to do, but this weather is just too awful for words!
