@Joyce Goldenlily. I think I mentioned before  that Omezprazole gave me severe dirhoea each morning so my GP changed it to Lansoprazole instead which is gentler.

I also found my digestive troubles rapidly improved when I stopped taking Alendronate, which I had been taking for years for osteoporosis. I won't re-start it as my quality of life is so much better. I can eat CAKE!!

  • My Lansoprazole has just been cut from two to one , with a vision to come off completely,  as the consultant said it kills too many good gut bacteria as it cuts down the stomach acid.

Hello everybody , hope anybody not feeling not to good are soon feeling better

Just got back off holiday , everything looking good
The last 3 cucumbers in greenhouse had gone soft and some pears 🍐 ripening in garage had gone off

The chilli 🌶 plants in greenhouse have so many fruits but do have some white & green fly so sprayed with soapy water
Need to start cleaning the greenhouse out tomorrow

    Enjoy your gardens , Autumn's coming 🍂
  • Today gathered up fallen apples from the orchard that are still sound. Have a lot now that will keep us going into next year. Gave more away to friends in the village. Picked some more dwarf french beans. They have done really well this year. Picked one fig!

I am already taking Lansoprazole. I have stopped taking Furosmide, Eplerone, Entresco and Ezetimibe, which has made no difference. My problem is not just in the morning, it is all day and night, every time I visit the bathroom. I am able to eat anything, no stomach pains, no change in perfomance, etc. My GP did say that once the gut has been irritated and become inflamed it can take a long time to settle down again, if ever! The anti diarrhoea tablets have definitely helped to calm things down and establish slightly more normality. I am still taking Asprin, Dapaglifozin, Ticagrelor and Bisoprolol Fumarate, which horrifies me. Going from taking absolutely nothing to this cocktail. I am not surprised my system is objecting.

I have been supplementing my food intake with pro biotics etc. to try and help myself. I have two more tests to do to show if diverticulitis is the culprit. I was absolutely fine until I started taking the prescribed tablets so my money is on one of them. I have to be patient and do what the GP asks until they run out of options, then they might consider the tablets.

I used to have a grumbling stomach, bad pain after eating and in general tummy problems.( diagnosis of IBS years ago)  I started taking an Actimel before dinner and this has helped settle everything down. I'm never without them now, don't know what they've done but they've worked.
  • Did try Actimel a while ago, but as I'm lactose intolerant now they are not for me.
