Moved 2 climbing roses the lilac tree they were going climb up was blown down last month, there now climbing up the new pergola I built yesterday.

Planned out a bog garden extension to the pond, I have a gunera, ligularia sky rocket and osmunda regalis to go in.

Moved a bamboo that has struggled in a corner of the garden for ages, it's gone into the tropical area. Another BBQ for tea loving the weather

had to move some daffs in flower.
tried my best to get them back in the ground as fast as possible. I'm sure they barely noticed...

Just another day at the plant...

I've divided and moved some of the ornamental grasses around, they should be fairly evenly spaced with perennials to come up between them. The grass is mainly Sesleria autumnalis with a few Deschampsia 'Goldtau' and Molinia 'Moorhexe'.

I'm going for an Oudolf look on a small scale, will be interesting to see if it works.

Too hot to do much. Reached 27.1 by 5.15 pm according to the weather station. Just potted on some ammi seedlings a neighbour gave me and watered my new peony.

Been in the garden all day and it was hot!
Picked a good day to decide to dig over and extend the flower beds.
Back aching now but the garden looks lovely.

Just need some plants to go in the bigger beds.
Would have been good to have got rid of all the weeds, clay and general green waste but the tips are shut. Healthy pile developing at the back of the garden!

Bog garden today 8ft by 3ft by 2 ft deep, all done with gunera, Loosestrife, ligularia skyrocket and royal fern all planted hopefully this will make the pond look much more settled in the garden.

BBQ for tea and an afternoon lazing on our new day bed and a beer, you've got to make time to appreciate the garden and not just build it

Nowt but move my baskets and newly potted plants out of the potting shed for a bit and back in when it started to rain heavily. Was very muggy this morning, so apart from the usual wander around the garden after morning coffee, settled for a family day, cooking a big roast lunch, now tucking into my Maltessers Crunchy Egg. Feet up in a bit and look for an old movie to watch.

It's back to preparing the veg beds in the morning, if dry enough, if not, oh well, the rest of the week looks good.

Spooky @GemmaJF - Reading your posts always makes me think we have a very similar approach to gardening and, yes, my choice of Easter egg this year is also a Maltesers Crunchy and is lovely!  Enjoy the wabbits! :D 🐰🐰
