@purplerallim that's looking good, I've been making Yorkshire minestrone soup (as it's certainly not an Italian version)

You just have to "set to" and use the glut when it happens. @Wilderbeast don't you. I must admit this is unexpected, at least two weeks early.

Absolutely @purplerallim nothing goes to waste in this house, the joys of being a Yorkshire farmers son I was brought up hard and tight 🤣🤣.

Pricked out Foxglove and Echinacea seedlings, mowed the lawn and did a bit of a tidy up.
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

Dismantled an old asparagus bed in a builders crate and dug out 1 metre square of soil.
Absolutely bone dry a metre down, no wonder the asparagus didn't grow well! Want to put a 2nd leaf bin in it's place.

Cleared the latest windfall apples and cooked and froze them, it's the 1st year that we've not had bad codling moth damage. Collected the 1st of the plums they are really sweet. We've had a mass garden tidy, the skip we had for the bathroom refit was deliberately too large and we've crammed it solid with loads of rubble and other mess. Not a garden job as such we went out and ordered a greenhouse, Elite Belmont 8ftx16ft 16/20 weeks for delivery so plenty of time to get very excited 😆😆😆

@GWRS yes can't wait, when I was only young (started when I was about 9) I used to dig out my grandads tomato beds every year and refill with new soil and manure. I'll never forget the smell of the greenhouse on a warm day and stealing a ripe tomato. That's my plan for next year

I cut and peeled 7lb of plums this weekend  @Wilderbeast , and not one had a worm, unlike last year when half did
