Cut the grass in the back garden, mulched the soft fruit border with half of it, the rest went in the compost bin mixed with shredded paper. Took some cuttings of pink fuchsia and Anthemis punctata. Put peas, beans and sweet peas to soak.
Took some geranium and fuchsia cuttings, trying to see if erigeron will root in water, had some seed but it doesn't look as if they'll going to come up.
@owd potter came round to collect a couple of phormiums that had outgrown the spot I had for them. Don't worry we kept 2m apart at all times Hubby has been putting a membrane on the shed roof as it was leaking, a tricky job as we had a montana clematis growing over it. I was chief nail, screw and hammer holder. Planted a few pansies and that's about it.
Hello , went to B&Q this morning to buy a few supplies to keep garden & allotment going for a few months Some of the local g/c’s are closing tomorrow around hear Currently sitting in the Sun with a cuppa , thinking I need to do some watering
We have had a glorious day here, wall to wall sunshine and warm Cleared out a few more pots of bulbs from the greenhouse. OH found the propagator from the organised chaos that is the garage. Checked over all the plants in the lean to, shrubby salvias, osteospermum and penstemon cuttings. Tided them up and potted on where necessary. My plan tomorrow is to work my way through the ones in the coldframe and do the same. It occurred to me that in the absence of GW Live, RHS Malvern and Toby Buckland's Garden Fest, l am going to have to actually plant these things (plus all the ones in pots along the wall). Some have been waiting for their freedom for years.
Potted up a couple of Phormiums very kindly donated by @Yviestevie, whom I cannot thank enough. They make a fine pair of statement plants, look the dog's sphericals...
Took the dog for a walk, only saw 3 other people walking their pooches in the far distance. Spent a couple of hours in the conservatory washing the dierama bulbs I lifted and disengaged from the clump of grass which was strangling them. Have e mailed a local nursery for advice on what to do with the resulting half a bucket of tiny bulbs. To separate or leave in clumps. They are like agapanthus and nerines, they enjoy being squeezed together but they are so tiny I think they need some room to expand to flowering size. The bulbs grow like monbretia, stacking up on top of each other.

To divide or not ? That is the question!
