Have potted up some plants and laid a length of timber bed edging another job that's about a year in process. I'm on a different garden project after breakfast, the boys want a battle catapult building !!! well how can any grown man say no 🤣
A honey bee came up and asked where all the flowers were. The snowdrops haven't even opened yet. I later had to rescue it from the cold frame before I closed it for the night. It's got a while to wait before anything blooms.
Moved the pots of "gone over" bulbs from the greenhouse to round the back. Did some deadheading of narcissi and snowdrops. Carried on clearing flower bed so that OH can eventually level it and lay some paving stones as a path through it. Moved the polyanthus to various places around the garden and potted up the osteospermum and origanum "Herrenhausen" temporarily. There was a mahoosive bumblebee bumbling around, particularly enjoying the pulmonarias. When the wind dropped it was very pleasant and just for a while I forgot about you know what.
Cleared ivy from some fence panels and then painted two of them, still got half a dozen to go. Cut and edged the lawns. Removed some nerines that never seem to flower very well. Lots of lovely bulbs out. You're right @Tin pot sunshine makes all the difference.
It's been lovely but cold out today. Dead headed a couple dozen daffodils. Helped hubby remove the last of the slate and protective membrane from the bed we are revamping. Top dressed under the apple tree. So much to do.
Sunny but an icy wind again Yesterday cleaned g/h glass Today cut up last years Branches , now nicely dry ready for burning on fire 🔥 and put this year cut branches away to dry
I cut the grass with our elderly flymo as I found we were out of lawnmower petrol 😐 tidied up the greenhouse and sowed some seeds had a bit of help too 😄

Too windy to lay down the cardboard where I want to lay wood chip though.
Maybe it’s just the sun but it felt like a garden again after all the lawn work I’ve been doing.
