Have a great time celebrating with the family Pat 🎉🎉

Just tried the “cleaning a grotty pair of secateurs with tomato ketchup” trick .....it worked a treat 😆😆😆

Glad others have snowdrops peeping too 👍🏻

the company I used to work for had, briefly, a policy of only buying Rovers as company cars. When mine broke down on Bodmin Moor in the middle of the night, I rang the AA (luckily I had a signal after only about half a mile walk through a bog) and told them it seemed to be overheating. I got a call back about 5 minutes later from the local chap who said "my report says it's a Rover with an overheating problem?" "yes" "I'll not waste time sending a mechanic then - we won't be able to get it going. I'll just send the tow truck - it'll be an extra 10 minutes, OK?" And they were right - less than 40.000 miles and it was a write off.

The company changed their policy so my next car was an Audi. No flashing lights and no cup holders (base model) but it was reliable and easy to drive. I was very fond of that little car  :)

Hi Obelixx and Chicky. It makes you wonder about eating tomato ketchup, doesn’t it Chicky. 😀

Not as bad as Coca-cola which an antique dealer once told me would lift the rust off the wheels on a metal wine rack to unlock them.    I already knew it strips varnish off office desks too.  Found that out whe I spilt some in the 80s.  Haven't drunk it since.

Comet not visible yet but the stars are fabulous after the recent cloudy nights.

Didn't get time to post today. We've been Christmas shopping in Norwich, also been to Dunelm, curtain rails, and B&Q. Bought OH an electric sander, saw and something else multi tool. Couldn't find a suitable heater for the kitchen, it was a different shop that I saw them in, can't remember which. Had lunch in a Thai restaurant. Got stuck in rush hour traffic on the way home. Unpacked car, brother rang - so we were late for drinks with our friends. But it turned into supper, they had prepared it. Back after 10pm, I've been watching Dynasties and OH is asleep on the sofa.

Tomorrow will be another full day. Kitchen fitter is coming to look at the kitchen at 8am, we are going to a Pantomime matinée and in the evening it is the friends of the church's Christmas drinks and canapés party.

Sounds like you are really settling into Norfolk life Lizzie ....lovely 😀😀😀

Seem to have developed another cold overnight - no First Defence this time, think its time to let it run its course 😳

Hope the car starts this morning Fairy 🤞🏻

  • Good morning all  :). Brrr looks cold out there again ... more frost.
Yesterday sounds suitably busy @Busy-Lizzie :) which Thai restaurant did you visit?
hope the cold’s not too bad @chicky ... mine’s not bad, just enough to be annoying  :/
